Keep your pads! But get some stiffer backings like the actual Rockman ones. I have tried so many different pads, and the RockPads are easily best on your set up.

One grind wont ruin your rim, even if it is stupidly deep, the rim will generally be fine, I got around 20 medium-harsh grinds out of my hog rim before it stared to get flatspots etc.

Go for the Browns, really good pads.

It depends entirely on what pads you have how deep to grind, Are they an averagely soft compound or hard?

You have got the wrong idea, a Mod is a 20' 'wheeled bike, a Stock is a 26'' wheeled bike, not 'stock' as in 'standard' and 'mod' is not 'modified' if thats what you're thinking.

Carthy had the prototype, it was going to be released as a separate frame, but i spoke to Joe and he says they are definitely using it as the new comp frame for the 2011 range. So they are making a really good spec. Comp bike, with the new frame. Which means it will be out around March-ish.

When is it meant to be released then?

They have,i have even seen the prototypes, its an Ice24'' if i'm correct. Should come out early next year or with the new 2011 range in around march.

With some modification i bet they would, they are the only pads I haven't run in other company's backings, I have managed to fit Heatsinks in Rockpad backings, Tnns in Heatsink backings etc. so im sure you could get rocks to fit into Heatsink backings.

Are they original Cousts? or CoustSinks? (the heatsink brand) as if your fiend has original and you have coustsinks then yours will be worse as the proper Coust pads are a lot better than the new ones. If its not that, try changing rim? new grind? booster/no booster depending on your frame? set pads square? Hope this helps
