Is it a new wheel build?? as looking at the pic your rim is wide and the spokes are very offset. eg. normal spokes run in line with each other on both side yours are space over to the edge of the rim.. does that make sence? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=26 drilling holes all in the center http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=25 larger size rim but notice all the spoke holes are offset

I think somebody must be messing with you if they just disappear. the free hub body is sealed until you remove the wheel and then the free hub body. unless your hub is missing the seals and is running loose either that or the oil you use is is eating the pawls! do you find bits of metal inside the hub? I have used bulb hubs since they came out on the market for trials and for down hill and have lived to be sold on for upgrades. you need a new hope pro 2 trials hub or even better a Chris king single speed then you wont have to worry about them failing both hubs do cost a little more than most but it should be a one time buy as with other hubs they fail and need to be replaced.. hope any of my jumble helps. PS watch out for the pawl thief oh and good post thats 1 step closer to being unleashed on the forum

Hi guys need some help with the build of my wheel... hub= Chris king single speed disc 32 hole rim=halo 24 inch multi rim I am trying to build this wheel using a spoke length of 236 on both drive and non drive with a 3x spoke pattern.. My problem is it ain't working one side of the spokes are under so much tension even before i start to tighten the spokes to true. so my mission or should i say yours is to prove I'm wrong and need a different size spokes.. I'm not going to be running the disc on the wheel, both flange size are the same, plus the Axel difference to the flange from what i can work out is the same so thats how i decided on this length with the aid of a spoke calculator any help would be brill thanks in advance

A 2ND tube is a good idea this was what i used years ago, but now i use car seat belts! they are very light weight easy to fit and i have not had a puncture with them not even snake bites as you fit them right into the rim you can get them from any car scrap yard or like me from an abandoned car!
