What Are You Using To Make Your Brake Better
superjay replied to terry_harris's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
my are just stock magura hs33 from tarty havent done a thing to the wheel of the brakes and the only time they let me down is by my mistakes but dont know what there going to be like when my new rims are on? -
ok got the new wheel and it looks pure awesome tarty did and awesome job they also gave me a syringe which i needed cause mine broke, really needed to bleed them, its not on the bike yet want to get they front to match just looks odd at the min but once done start getting pics of my bike as changes.

-
if your liking that rim i guess the sl one be as good then i do think it is a very nice looking rim.
-
well i never grind rims anyway so do the rims slip alot then or they just not strong?
-

well as it says i had a bad day. really wanted to ride today so got up went out went to do a warm up wall drop off went over handle bars. had a little brake till things felt good again went back out and started to do some good riding learning new things getting happy when i wne to pedal kick of a bench and what happend.... my trousers got stuck in my chain for the first time ever it all locked up and i went over again couldnt bail out this time though. cut my arm just hurting messed up my bb when it all locked up. the reason i wanted to ride my bike so much was to cheer me up for the shitty past few days i have had, nothiong is going my way

ok first so maybe the title and description should be the other way round i don't know but to the point now. when you ride do you try and get the kids into it? where i live all the parents are alcoholics and drug addicts, and the kids are little shits if im honest but when i ride they listen to me. I just want the kids to see there is more to life then what there parents show them and they can do what they want if they put there mind to it. I'm not saying im a good rider cause im really crap but they think im soooo good. There parents hate me though so what would you do leave the kids let them turn out like there parents or try to help if you can? I got to admit have the kids round here are not as bad as they was.
-
this one is a very good point. like any think in life you want the best you got to pay more it.
-
thanks alot turns out its far from me dont think i will get a chance to ride it
-
man this place looks awesome can anyone tell me where it is i want to see if i can get there, i may be i little crap but it looks good to learn and looks like it has nice people to help you.
-
bike shops round here don't do trials parts, and i don't know the pros
-
i think the wind is worse then the rain but come on we live in england if you don't like it you don't ride cause lets face its one nice day a week is all we really get.
-
well lets face as with anything you want the best stuff you got to pay the top price, im just sick of not been able to afford the stuff i want then you have to rich kids round here who just buy them cause they can and never intend to ride them
-
ok i can understand the price of a frame been £220 (the echo one i want) but some of the other things don't add up, a bash plate £20 thats a fair price but a brake booster £30, my points is some of the prices of things don't add up for what they are, it looks like they price what they want for things.
-
so from what i read on a mod bike you don't do pedal ups you just bunny hop up, thats what i been doing if its high cause i cant do the pedal ups as high as i can bunny hop.
-
i agree with the t pro i got one today and as soon as i got on it i could jump twice as high and just balance soooo much better. well worth the money and i got my second hand.
-
i liked it, how long you been riding to get to that level i have no one to ride with so i don't know what level you should be at and i know everyone learns at different speeds i just have to teach myself everything i know.
-
Well i have always riden with gloves and never had blisters but now there shot i get them but i got some new ones today so my hands feel good. As for the shin knee pads couldnt get them all sold out so have to wait but not a day goes by yet i havent hit my knee or shin but i have only just started as with most things as you get better you fall less and stuff but i will still where them as its not worth it for the one time it goes wrong.
-
I see you always get people going on about helmets which i under stand why but if you ask me and for this type of riding i think knee and shin pads are very important. my knee is a mess from smashing it into the bars or the pedal flipping round and hitting my knee or shin. first thing im doing tomorrow im getting some pads because i like walking and it hurts also need some new gloves as mine are warn out and i got blisters now
