  1. Ok.... I forgot my dads birthday. I don't know how I managed it, basically my parents split up, and my mum would usually remind me. But this year she didnt. It was last wednesday and because I don't see him often I only found out today when I went round his house and saw cards on the side. I feel like an absolute cock. I'm skint bar 5quid, and I need to make it up some how. When I mentioned it he pretended to not care, but he blatantly does and I feel really bad, as I know it gets to him that I don't see very much of him... I wouldn't normally come to a forum for advice like this, but for some reason I wanted to post it... Please give me some advice and console me saying it's happened to others of you out there. Thanks (a very pissed with himself) James edit: No smart comments please, I know i'm a dick, don't need reminding further.
  2. When you work for a month, and spend every penny on a pair of Chris King hubs, leaving you skint until next month. James
  3. To be fair, I can see how he got confused. I mean how can you say there are "sides" to a circle... James
  4. Not quite what I need, but a good site, found some other useful bits and bobs on there (Y) Thanks edit: Actually thats pretty much there, I'm probably gonna buy the kit off there though as it makes life easier i expect (Y)
  5. On the older models, the disc mount is indeed very slightly out. Solution: Look at your rotor and see where it is inside the caliper, if it's too high up (e'g catching on the caliper) you need a smaller rotor, if it's too low (eg pads falling off the top of the rotor) you need a bigger one. That was pretty useless, however I remember people saying it's mounted too far down so you need a rotor that's smaller by 3mm, so if you have a 180, you need to get a 177 and so on... Call up hope and ask them to make you one, they will do ANY size you want. My friend had a problem with discs in horizontal dropouts, so got one that was 178mm. It was £25 I think and looks like a standard C2 rotor. The turnaround was about 5 days as they had to machine the rotor, but they may well have one in the size you need so call them (Y) Hope you manage to sort it out. James
  6. Bumping this up. I got my ear pierced about a month ago, and today I started stretching it into a flesh hole with a horn. It's going ok so far. I think i've got it up to about 2.5mm in a night so fairly good going so far... Basically I need some advice on the horn, it's all over the show as I can't get it in enough yet to stay securely so does anyone have advice on how to get it to stay in place nicely. I've put it in from the back, the horn so it goes round the back of my ear, bled a bit but i've been very clean and careful and it's fine now, no pain anyway. Any advice on how to keep it in place would be great. Cheers guys (sharn, dilusional?) James
  7. Clive at leeson bikes does them and a very good job from what I have heard too. There's an example from the website. You can contact Clive on 01933 314285, or email him on leesonbikes@tesco.net. James
  8. How on earth could white spirit leave oil on the rim? It's alcohol based so will evaporate pretty quickly and clean your rim a gud'un. I always used to clean my rims with white spirit, no worries. If white spirit has oil in it, put it on your chain and see how long it lasts without rusting (Y) I'd say a grind with black or red pads. No squeak, just a "swoosh" noise, and decent lock too. James
  9. I will probably come. I can have another razz on Daves bike and put some more scratches on it :"> Cya'll there. James
  10. If you were running radial lacing, on the drive side of a rear hub mate, it's your fault really. Think about it, theres no way radial spoking will be able to transmit torque through spokes going straight to a rim without crossing over to distribute the pressure. It would clearly damage the hub, and I don't think any hub in the world could deal with that for a long period of time....(bar silly set ups, like 48spoke gsport bmx hubs on 19inch wheels....slightly different to a king 32h on 26inch) James
  11. I would normally do the google search thing too, but for all the songs I want like off the glasseye nick vid, they are mainly skit tracks and don't have enough vocals or any at all.... James
  12. Nice one guys. It's shacked now Cheers bath trials :ermm: Keep the comments coming James
  13. Here's a promotional video for you all of Paul Turner from southampton riding his Curtis, he's not a forum member but regularly comes out on rides etc :ermm: Riding is mainly Southampton and Bristol. All editing is by Paul using final cut, and filming is mostly by myself. It's 27mb and I ripped it to my pc so I hope the quality is acceptable :P (mpg format so it should play on most pc's) Here's a eengoedidee link temporarily as my servers down. If someone wants to shack it while I wait for my ref-id that would be great. -Paul Turner- Hope you all enjoy it, leave comments criticism here :P Thanks everyone James
  14. I still have a brand new un used et24.....not for sale I add. Should have it built eventually. I'm just being lazy and have been really busy recently so havent had much time. I wouldn't say long and low is the future, it's just another direction or angle of trials bike. People will always prefer different things so thats why there's a range to choose from. Hopefully it will be painted though because silver is definately getting boring. Black's the new silver haha. James
  15. Er what does it do, I accepted it and msn shut down but thats it.... James
  16. Of course you would mate, james and dan all of the above are sorted and wouldn't mind you tagging along, neither would any of the bristol locals. Just go on one of the rides and make friends. James
  17. Here it is James p.s All his videos are available on curtisbikes.co.uk in his rider section.
  18. It didn't crack, the chainstays just dented harshly where the bashplate mounts on. It's standard spacing for the rear dropouts, same as the echo's or anything fairly generic so you shouldnt have any worries there. All Revell's are now available with four bolt mounts, get in contact with them and I'm sure they will help you out. You can get them in almost any colour too so don't just restrict yourself to red or black. Hope I helped James
  19. Turn this into a proper thread by other posting vids they don't know the songs to but desperately want to find out :ermm: I'd like to know all the songs in Nick goddards vid comp video except 'Cream' by Wu tang. Any help appreciated Video here Thanks again James

  22. As ficken is german for ass f**king. Someone is taking the piss and needs to be dealt with. For them to show such a lack of respect is one thing but to be so spiteful and write a completely fake post is another. It sickens me that people out there can be such idiots and not realise that the site is there for the griving friends and family of a man who was victim to a tragic accident. D.j deserves to be left in peace and with the sincere thoughts of his friends and family, not some loser having a joke. James
