    Bird Flu

I was hardly acting tough (Y) I'm just saying that every now and then there will be a scare, people will make a massive fuss, a month later nothings happened and David Beckham is back on the front page of all the news papers, because of a new tatoo. Mark my words.

    Bird Flu

I think we should all just wait and see, at the end of the day we all die, eventually... James
  4. There's a band called Gorotted that have the best song titles ever. Highlights include- Hacked in the back, dumped in a sack. The graveyard zombie rape bonanza Her gash, I did slash and so on.....
  5. Same as Cadaverinc.com All jokes, although the cadaver one appears very proffessional. James edit: The cadaver sites now about some weird band :ermm:
  6. You don't have to work at Halfords you know, he could always apply at somewhere else. B&Q has a starting rate of 5.15ph for anyone, Next pay £5.30, just get him to hunt around before assuming Halfords is the best place. Also, if it has to be with bikes, then he should try to apply at a bike specific store. Some pay pretty well, above 4.80 anyhow, and you're likely to be able to get parts for trade. James
  7. I know shit all about camera's but I expect it was someone immensely talented taking the picture (which will get you half way there) and they were using a Digital SLR of some kind with a really good lense, and shutter speed. James
  8. Nah I was showing off. Obviously James
  9. Awwww cheer up, at least it's a nice stem. You have chilli's, or something, can't really make it out. Well done :turned: James
  10. Was alright, had stars in my eyes for a fair bit but nothing too bad. There was a few people watching who were slightly concerned though... James
  11. Eengoedidee link Just a short low quality video of me doing a wallride in southampton, went fine attempt 1, attempt two resulted in me hitting the slope a tad low. Turn up for maximum effect of hearing the wind being blown out of me. :turned: James
  12. Its a strap on set of handle bars. Wouldn't we all love a set. 7/10
  13. I heard that all mobile phone manufacturers have the capability to incorportate top of the range features and make a super phone already, they just choose not to as it's bad business. The way they are at the moment nokia, samsung etc, will bring out a new camera every month or two thats slightly better than the old one because people WILL buy it. If they just went, hmm f**k it, and brought out the 5mp camera phone, with 20gb storage for mp3's, full digital tv capabilities etc...They'd be able to sell it at extortionate prices, but it would no where near meet the amount of money they make by taking old hat technology that's cheap and brand it up as the next new amazing phone, which people fork out 200quid every half a year on, so they have a new phone that has a camera which is .1 of a mp better than their current one. (whoops, mega long sentance there) James edit: By the way, I've got a shit old nokia phone without a colour screen, no poly tones, nothing. I can't see half the screen as it's broken but I still manage to send texts call people etc on it, so why do I need something 10times as expensive?
  14. Yeah thats bearing fit. Like I said above, you can get it from most specialist stores you don't have to go to and engineer. James
  15. Whoops, ah well. For future reference dude, the easiest way to tell if something is steel from alu is by checking the construction. The welds on steel stuff are usually quite small and neat (about 1mm across the rippling), where as the welds on alu are generally really beefy and much fatter (about 3-4mm). You can also tell usually by checking out any machining etc. You can't really machine pretty patterns etc with steel so the dropouts are likely to be very basic and just like a cut plate of steel, whereas on alloy stuff the dropouts can be machined to look all pretty and loose weight. Have a look at viz forks, then have a look at some pashley 26mhz forks. You'll see what I mean straight away. Plus you can always paint them yourself...check the FAQ (Y)" James
  16. Hahah, I haven't even rode mine yet. I'm so slow at getting it built. Don't worry dude it will be alright, if it's flared it's flared, no use crying over spilt milk. At the end of the day it's repairable and if done well should last plenty a long time. At least the headtube didn't tear off.... James
  17. Yep, that's most definately flared. I doubt you'll get a warranty replacement on it, but call them and see what they say. Failing that, whip out the bottom cup and see if the headsets ok. Check that's still fairly round and if it's still useable. Being a Pig and them generally being hard as a jonah you should be ok. Depending how flared the headtube is (you should be able to tell by how easily it comes out) you have two options to repair it: 1) Put it in the frame with lots of bearing fit and glue it in straight. I've done this before and it worked really well, still managed to get the headset out once I'd glued it in too. Just make sure there's no grease on any of the surfaces and it should hold in fairly well. 2) If it really is pissed, and a mega loose fit, cut up bits of a coke can and make them so they fit round the lip on the cup. Glue it on and sand round the top part so it slides in easier. It will be hard but just smack it in with a hammer, because of the coke can being the softest of the 3 materials it will deform enough to give it a nice tight fit in the frame and you should be fine for a good while. Hope you manage to sort it out dude, tis the only gay thing about alloy frames being so soft. I'd also check the welds around the headtube for damage and check the whole things not about to snap off... Cheers James
  18. I think ones gloss and one isn't like the old ones aren't and the new ones are.... James
  19. Yeah it is, and if I was gonna be a pedantic willy I rip your post to shreads just to spite you MrMonkey but as I'm nice I won't. You're not doing too bad reforming :) Much less of a post whore now any way :P . James
  20. I've done 20ft with a 4.5ft drop or so. (street bike) James
  21. Got my forks back at 4 pm today so went out in town with James Porter, Fletcher, Hobbsie etc....2 hours later they're broken, again. For the third time. James

  23. Yeah mines been a bit bollocks so far... Bike is forkless, so the days I could ride were wasted doing shit all. Tuesdays and Thursdays are wasted because I need to leave for work at 3.20 Got a gig on saturday that I'm struggling to get support for... the usual. James

    Names?

Back in the day I used to buy ride and there was a really cool T-shirt that had "The666ers" in the style of an american football team (the49ers etc..) I thought it was a clever play on the style so registered it as a hotmail (which I still have) and I'm yet to come across somewhere that has already taken this user. James (not a satanist)
