  1. Frame Geo's Possibly a FAQ link. I dunno. The ashtons there but no base.
  2. You don't understand, It's not a well made video. There are some UCI videos I really like but this one didn't do it for me. I just thought it was badly made and didn't show the best side of the riding, I have already kissed you and your friends asses by saying the riding was amazing so don't worry too much. James
  3. Right at the bottom, street in paris as a hyperlink. James
  4. I didn't really like it, the video showed that most of them are full on natural riders. It was just one of those videos that didn't do it for me. I just saw it as a really competitive ride with a load of the same people seeing who could go bigger. It lacked the fun appeal and style side of videos I like to see. The editing was rubbish in my opinion, and the music was very "Rocky IV". Examples are, one of them tries a 360 off a drop, doesn't make it (Y). The pop manual part up the slope, bitch pedals to get to the top and sidehops at the end. I'm gonna get slaughtered for my opinion, yes I respected the skill of the riding and the level they were all at, was simply miles above anyone else. But. Go download BMXIGANS November, and watch one after the other. It was a bit too long aswell, and as said the clips definately needed cropping more, the filming could have been better too. James
  5. Everyone learnt to type correctly and spell. The world became a better place and there were no wars. Some small animals were killed.
  6. Make it wednesday and bobs your uncle and my father. Bit late notice, and I've got work, and yeah.
  7. When I read post one, I instantly though Bonz cranks, what do I see below...... If not does anyone remember the really old school fsa afterburners? Steven Maeder of Biketrials.com had some one his yellow b26. Ah how old school. Check out the extreme weight saving holes in his rim (Y) James

When does the forum correct itself?
  10. Fairenough, I was going on the assumption is was the araya one which is around 800grams and 80quid each or something. If they work for you, then fair play :o James EDIT: They are 80quid a pair, not for one. My mistake.
  11. Do they allow 24's? Like my bike? James
  12. Disc brakes on the rear of a trials bike? After you.
  13. Well it's heavy as fook I expect, and we can't be god and control the rain, if it get's even marginally damp its like slick. Depends how you like it, personally i'd prefer to have a grind and a good brake in all conditions than worry about getting tiny amounts of water on my brake and dying. Plus he probably didn't mention the weight, and that id the chrome does start to chip off it will all come off gradually, and they are massively more expensive.
  14. I believe they are heavy as fook, and goodbye braking in the wet, a grind you say? Not if you don't want all the chrome peeling off. Yes mine are the DH ones. Ashton folded the xc, which is massively different. I'll get some pics somewhen of my ones, complete with the grind.
  15. Haha, i wish my manifold was leaking. I've got a few head gasket and compression issues which need seeing to. I won't have a clue what I'm doing.
  16. On the topic of 24inch rims. I've got some Tioga's and the quality is outstanding. I've not ridden them yet so can't give any answers on strength etc, however. They are welded and pinned on the join, they are double eyeletted, they have a great braking track after a bit of grinding action, they are the perfect width, they look pimpy, they are a reasonable weight......... And theyre 24 quid from chainreaction. I'll give some more updates once I've ridden mine. They look a lot more promising than any other 24inch rim though. Just looking you can see the difference in quality over my atomlabs. James
  17. Fletchers right Smo don't be a know it all. Revell will do vertical dropouts if you call them, just as they'll do most things if you call them and find out (eg 27.2 seat tube if you wanted Nic) There are lots of various options on the frames if you call and find out. If you want to find something out, you cant beat the old dog and bone. Revell's are strong frames. I've ragged my street bike silly and it's still going strong. They are a good weight and price too. You won't be disappointed especially if you're looking for a less UCI influenced frame. James
  18. I wouldn't bother to be honest. It will look wank End of story James

JT I recommended you for validation back in the day and I'm starting to wish I hadn't bothered. Your extent of posting for the time you've been here is ridiculous. You've sparked another sodding short/long street/natural argument and it just wasn't needed. Topic title: 'Replying to We Need More Steel/cromo Mods' Two have been done, the T-bone, which was immensely shit, and the Leeson, which I'm sure clive would do again if asked. as for the rest of this thread, you could all argue the toss of riding styles and that forever and still get nowhere, at the end of the day if that's so important to you that it results in petty fueds like this then you need to get a perspective on things. We all ride for fun, today when me and some mates split off from the group in southampton we had the following bikes: Matt urban on his Tpro 20 Me on my Revell 24 street bike Aidy on his Leeson 26 Paul on a BMX Steve on a BMX We all just had a blast and rode for the hell of it, and not at any point did we question what we were riding on each bike, it just didn't come into it. You can ride anything on anything and if you are having fun doing so then f**k what any UCI/Street loving freaks say about pureism and just do what makes you smile because they are the ones bringing the fuel to the fire.
  21. Will do, bought a cheap and cheerful Praktica digi cam to keep together on any progress :P James
  22. Finally found a golf to restore in the time I've got till I can drive (Y) I'm really pleased with it. It's a 1.3 with 144,000 miles, no rust, and totally unmodified. £260. Perfect.
  23. The problem with Isis bearings is they have far lower load tolerances as much more pressure is applied through the smaller surface area of the bearings. It's possible to seal a Isis unit just as well as a square taper, so it wouldn't make any difference if we did 100miles or 10 a week, the fact is they can't take the stress due to the smaller bearings, which are needed due to the increased axle size. People also mention the isis bb's being a bit loose. It's not loose, the bearings are f**ked, and when you can run a square taper longer (much cheaper too) and the bearings are still fine, I think I'd go for the hardly noticeable loss in stiffness over changing my bb every two months, which costs more than normal tapered ones, in turn forcing me to run more expensive cranks, and in turn come loose more often. There's a better range of good quality tapered bb's out there, and if tic's not had a problem with taper so far, why change to isis and spend the extra money? They may be marginally stiffer but I think the cons out weigh the pro's in the bearing department. James
