Everyone else is just guessing by the looks of things and isn't really showing any real knowledge on the subject. James

Don't forget chaps, anyone staying in southampton till later in the evening should pop to the joiners arms (Y) I've got tickets so if anyone decides they are coming along then they should give me a call during the day or something... James

But that's what stereotyping is, exaggeration of details which seperate types of people. You aren't going to change peoples opinions or make a difference to be honest mate. Every day people are faced with rude, uncouth pikies and it's just how it goes.
-
That's fine mate - If I'm honest I have some mates that dress like pikies and are sound. One of them even lives in a caravan. Either way I think you're gonna need to accept there are stereotypes for a reason and despite there often being exceptions to the rule, people will be stereotyped regardless. If I was to give you some friendly advice mate I'd just let this thread go. Unfortunately you're not painting a good picture, and once you've dug yourself in a hole.... James ;)

Alright Jesus. I wasn't being arsey with you, just stating a fact. It wasn't aimed at you or anything. Now get off your cross and stop being such a victim.

There a lots of longetivity issues with Leesons though as well. I know of two which have lasted less time than Ashtons. And I think a lot of the feeling of a bike is to do with the setup really. I've ridden steel frames that ride like a bag of shit, alloy ones that are nice and lively and vice versa. It's all to do with how they are made etc... Personally I think a slightly heavier built ashton priced more resonably is the way forward. Leeson and curtis have the steel side of things covered (as Jon said) and it would be cool to see a £200 24, with a years warranty and normal shapes (I.E twin triangle with no gay bendy tubes and un-useable seat tubes) which is short enough to street it up on but can cater for other styles too. James

If you're too afraid of doing it yourself/invalidating the warranty - hope will do it for you if you give them a quick phone. They're helpful as usual with any enquiry and a friend of mine had just as above done free of charge. James

I won't be out this time - as we have a gig. Any of you who are at the ride and fancy staying in town for an evening of music should head down to the Joiners where we will be headlining. It's £5 on the door or £4.50 if you get tickets off me - no age restriction. Cheers everyone James

There was a sticky thread for chavs but it didn't get posted in for a while so it unstickied or whatever magic occurs when stickies un-adhere themselves. Me-thinks a bit of sticky thread/merging revival should be jiggerized here - whats been said aboves only really been dwelled over hundreds of times before in different ways. James

Here is the deal on the SONY I-Pod (nw-hd5) It's very very goood.

Whats even worse is he had the same skanky T Shirt on the next day! Sickening. James

I'm more hardcore because when I go to gigs I can dance without beating the shit out of everyone around me, and even if I do look like a cock when I dance, I'm having a cool time which isn't at the expense of others.

Boooooo - Where am I? :D I vote Rich who rides the 24, Porter always makes me laugh, well anyone I've met out on a ride I guess. Oh yeah - The original MR Nice Guy - Dave Marshall. Despite the abuse and nicknaming he's still a legend. Oh yeah, mr Edd Potts for sorting out my front brake.... Tic, well for just being Tic, and giving me lifts. Tom Chilvers....... Last but not least matt_urban for all his help with my car and taxi service across the country on several occasions. Bloody hell almost forgot Adam and Dave, Dave put up with my heap of a bike in their office for far too long while I procrastinated over the 30quid it cost me to bring it back (long story). Cheers Guys. James

Or you could get a sony nwhd5 which is about 10mm deep and as big as a credit card, yet has a 20gb hd and 44 hour battery life, and is better than the I Pod in everyway. James

Do a search you gimp. There's absolutely tonnes of topics on Viz parts.

You should take a look at all the available hubs and see what you think suits your price range best. Then you need to consider how important weight is to you, and what sort of punishment you will be giving it. The mini is the lighter option but not as burly as the ss. To be honest, I've never seen any issues with the mini so you'll be wiser going for that if you want light weight. 36h built well should be strong enough and lighter, but if you run pegs and really ride hard the ss will last longer. If you are looking for a fully built wheel then look at shops such as Pijin, Alans, Custom riders...These are the cheapest places and are known for the best service. OnzaboyMark on here has a Pijin wheel and is pleased with it so ask him if you want to know any more. James
-
He probably builds pretty decent wheels, but I doubt he builds the best wheels. James

Stitch = Build up of lactic acid in the muscles (glucose and energy or something) which in theory can make them more powerful but there is obviosuly the burn which isnt to good. To break down lactic acid you just need to get more oxygen in you and concentrate on your breathing as oxygen is was dissipates the acids and clears the pain. In shory concentrate on breathing and make a pattern of deep controlled breaths during exercise to avoid getting a stitch.
