  1. if you really want another bashring on your left hand side, buy another right hand side crank put a bashring on and secure it with a large nut, although it would add quite a bit of completely unnecessary weight, as said before there is no need to protect the left hand side.
  2. do timeserts not have a flange at the top wich would need fileing of to get your brake clamps square EDIT: just had a search Helicoil kit = £16 Timesert kit = £80 Helicoil for the win
  3. I really need to weigh up my options, i need around 1600 quid for a decent trail bike and dont have alot of money but im thinking if i sell the trials bike and my hardtail, i could probably get close to 1000 and get a second hand full susser from pink bike or fleabay. I really enjoy trials but i seem to have stopped progressing and just dont get the same buzz from it anymore, i manage to get out on the trials bike once a week if i am very lucky, but i am MTB trail riding every tuesday and wednesday with work on a borrowed trek ex 7 and would like to have my own bike so i can go explore and get better enjoyment. it will kill me to finish trials but i cant see any way of getting myself a decent trail bike, I;m also thinking the split of the bike would be more popular but there is always the chance i will be left with parts for the rest of my life lol
  4. Right I am thinking of selling up to fund a new all mountain bike basically the price that i get for my stock will dictate wheather i stay or go. and im just not getting the adreneline rush from trials anymore. Just want to know what you think my bike is worth Spec is as bellow apart from a Der Kaiser on the rear and tryall front tyre My link to bike
  5. looking good kido i'll be up in ness soon hopefully and we'll get some proper riding done, maybe a bit of natty down kessock if you want
  6. totally agree with carl, plenty of 5's but really enjoyed myself, now i know what to excpect i will be better prepared for the next one. thanks again, carl get some of those pics up
  7. just flush it out with lots and lots of gt85 just spray it between the lockring and outer shell, works a treat on my sl
  8. yeah i agree the ronnies are pretty good i was talking about the cheaper standard rims that they put on their full builds, [robably should have been a bit clearer
  9. if its a standard onza rim they tend to hold grinds about as well as cheese you will get much better results from something like an echo tr
  10. i nearly gave up as well mate but honestly it will come good
  11. they doo tak a bit of time to get a decent bleed but it will come good eventually after you have bled it hold it up by the lever and tap all hoses and bits and pieces to allow any air to travel upwards to the lever and bleed again
  12. ive got the older 26" fans, and i must admit i love it my riding has progressed pretty well over any other frame i have had
  13. i added mine to my home insurance and it didnt actually put it up quite as much as i thought, it is also covered if i am out on a ride and get jumped and the bike stolen. I thought this was hard to believe but i asked him three times if this was the case and all three times he said it was covered, it is also covered for crashes which means if i snap the frame its all covered, really strange again i thought but apparently all true
  14. learnt to roll up things insead of allways wanting to go to back wheel, and got a few tips on my natty riding which allowed me to clean a section which would have been a 5 before i was shown how to do it properly. overall a good learning weekend
  15. and £150-£200 for a bashed tpro frame
