    Chains

i got a kmc kool chain ,the 1/8th fat version and there pretty good, it also fits through my tensile tensioner ! i also bought a gusset tank chain from tarty's but it were fooking huge, more like a motorbike bike chain. but it did not fit through the tensioner so its useless to me now. if your running no tensioner on your bike then the gusset chain may work for you? maybe someone on here has tried it that way? anyway kool chain gets the thumbs up from me !
  2. must admit ,that new one looks really nice and could be what im after..........also just noticed damon watson selling his meta lol. does actually look alright built up too. could be meta for the win
  3. dont look to bad.... the weight says it could be strong... would love to see what it looks like built up have looked at your frame a few times ....... but have no idea how strong they are .... otherwise it would fit the bill!
  4. no longer than 1100 and no higher bb than +40......
  5. hi people , seems as there are lots of members to this forum, and no doubt you've all tried lots and ,lots of stock frames out , i would like some feedback into what some of the strongest stock frames are available. having just got back into trials after 5 years off, i currently have got an old ehco urban frame, and i really need something more up to date . weight is not an issue and nor is price..... im a big lad so i need a really strong frame , as my mates know how brutal i punish them sometimes. thanks
  6. dont think a booster would make a difference really nope, bolts have plenty of room to breath, wont tighten them no more incase i strip the fork threads.... i might try some new cilinder magura washers.... see if that does the trick and if not then ill have to try some of those echo mounts that clamp the cilinder wothout the need for a washer
  7. yeah brakes are square and as tight as i can get without stripping the threads
  8. hi people, ive got a slight problem with my 4 bolt mounts not holding the magura silinders properly. they are brand new zoo pitbull forks and brand new echo cnc 4 bolt mounts. the brakes set up tightly and squarely. however under heavy braking ,i.e gaps to front, the brakes seem to twist inwards in the mounts. its annoying the hell out of me having to undo the mounts and twist them back in all the time. anyone else had this problem and solved it ? or could it be that i weigh 18 and half stone?
  9. my tryall broke in one week dude...........get an eno, they feel so stiff and strong, every part is replaceable too..!
  10. hello dude ..... i from lincoln and ride couple nights a week, and then the weekend, theres a handful of us really....... pm me your number if your interested in meeting up any time dude cheers karl
  11. im not sure exactly where we will be going to....i dont remeber cleethorpes well as its been about 10 years since ive been. is there a certain place riders like to meet or hang around?
  12. just wondered if any riders in cleethorpes are out tomorrow? a few of us lincoln lads are coming over tomorrow....... let me know please , cheers lads
  13. what did you do in the end?
  14. well i had turn the bike upside down drop the forks in then slightly pull up evenly on both sides to lock the wheel in place to give me some clearance from the steerer. its worked but one heavy landing will pop the hub back into where it supposed to be. i reckon i need a skinnier tire maybe a 2.1? has anyone had the same problem as me?
  15. hi people, ive recieved my zoo pitbull forks today from tarty's. got back from work and started to fit them, so far so good . then when i put my front wheel in the tire rubs on the bottom of the steerer. i have a maxxis larsen tt tire on the front and its half worn, with a try all rim and hope hub. theres a couple of flat spots on the rim which does not help but ive never seen a tire sooooooo close to the bottom of the steerer . even if i attempt to take the flat spots out , it will still rub ..... why is this ???????
  16. point taken.............lol gone now
  17. theres a few spots really...... normally go all over town and sometimes down the uni . more people ride sundays than saturdays , theres a few of us going out today about 1 . cheers karl
  18. hello....im from lincoln and theres always a group of us out saturdays and sundays......
  19. i think 5 feet for riding only 2 and a half months is good, eventually you will learn to angle the bike more to get more leverage and also learn how to take off from the very edge of something as the tire folding over the edge will give you a good kick... it'll come!!!
  20. hairspray my friend .....works everytime!!
  21. yeah im out on saturday as usual, bring it with you dude and ill have a look.
  22. if you have to use tar on your brake then something aint working right, either a soft compound pad with a smooth rim or a firmer pad on a light / medium grinded rim. always make sure things are setup evenly and squarely both sides of your brake , and everythings clean . after that your brake should bed in quickly and start preforming well. choice of pads is trial and error really, they all work well to an extent , and the slighlty more expensive pads do work better, but its up to you to decide which ones you prefer for what kind of riding you do most.
