  1. not sure .i thought they closed one day in the week.....??? or i was dreaming it
  2. is it mondays that tarty's is closed? i cant remember ............
  3. i will give you the bust one on tuesday , always good to have a spare , but i will still buy a new one from tarty's
  4. hello...... been out today and snapped my hanger on my czar 07 stock frame, the replacement one on tarty's is this one... http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=66 however, im looking at the tnn one below http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=66 does anyone know if it will fit... it dont mention the czar 07 on the list of compatible frames but it looks like it should .. oh and are they much stronger thanks
  5. now thats a face plant my friend!!!
  6. strange.lol. well i may just stick with the 22 18 if they roughly the same . saves messing around. cheers guys
  7. yeah tarty's do the middleburn rings in 20tooth... i would have thought 22 18 is 1 tooth heavier than 18 15 ratio... it dont feel the same on my mates bike... seems i can put the power through the pedals a little quicker with an 18 15 ratio...
  8. i know alot of people seem to use 18 front and 15 rear on stock. ive always used 22tooth front and 18 rear. i have a tensile 96 click on the rear which is great but wanting to change my gearing slightly... as i cant change the freewheel as most are 18 tooth .. would a 18 rear and 21 tooth sprocket upfront be the same as a 18:15..if so where the hell can i get a 21tooth chainring from? really want to buy some middleburn cranks with a tnn bash which fits the 5 bolt chain rings but they seem tomonly come in 20 or 22 tooth. before anyone replies i dont want to run a front freewheel. it would mean having a screw on rear sprocket , which along with the freewheel would be an absolute pain to get off,as im a big lad and they really do tighten up very tight with my weight. dont want to run a rear hub i.e hope pro or king... just want to keep a freewheel on rear and try work around getting a slightly easier gearing, using middleburns and 5 bolt chainring. i could just simplt go for 20 tooth on front but thinkthat its probably far to easy gear? god knows ... any advice?
  9. think we gonna stick with skeg today . Rode cleethorpes 2 months ago . Fancy a change dude
  10. We are nearly 20 mins from skeg now so can't really dude
  11. Anyone riding skeg today . Few Lincoln lads are on the way now . Let me know if anyone's riding . Cheers
  12. yeah the freewheel basically fell of when hitting the rear wheel out.... i got all the bits and have now built it back up and loctite the lockring back on. i now my last eno had different length pawls but it seems this freewheel the pawls are the same length. i just wnated to make sure everything went back together properly . it goes .... inner bearing , then pawls and springs( no particular order), then 2 smalle metal rings (to keep pawls flush to body) , then main ratchet body, then outer bearings, then lockring... just incase anyone else's falls apart lol
  13. So on the way home my free wheel lock ring fell off . When I knocked my wheel out the frame after I got in ,everything fell to pieces . I'm hoping someone knows the correct order of how the pieces go back together . The pawls and springs appear the same length so it should not matter which order they go in ?anyone know for sure ?
  14. cool... i did call tarty and was told iether a skinnier rim, or echo slaves as there thinner , or a whole new setup. if a pair of middleburns have the same offset as a set of fsa cranks im sure they would do me better as i know how strong the tapers are on middleburns. second hand middleburns aint that much either. another pair of fsa's would also probably do as the tapers are new, but would not last long. only reason im thinking about different cranks and different offsets are that tarty's said echo and more trials specific cranks have more clearance , and secondly that my mate just bought round a pair of onza cranks and when slid over the axle , they were worse than my broken fsa's
  15. so you mean keep my current cranks .. put a spacer over the bb axle then piece of bmx bar and tighten up tight!! ?????
  16. ok here goes.... my mate has his new frame so i now have his czar stock frame 07 long version in white. when he used the czar he had a 128mm isis bb with echo cranks. they just cleared the rear magura slaves by 2mm or so. i new my crappy fsa cranks and square taper bb would not clear so bought the longest square taper bb available. 127.5 mm. when i tighten the driveside crank on it just clears the slave by 1mm (so so close) when i tighten the non drive side crank its about 3mm over the slave so no chance in hell of it clearing. the non drive crank arm is pretty rounded and tightens further on than a new arm would. so for now ive bodged some tin can on the axle and ive got about 2mm clearance so the bike is rideable. would a set of square tapered middleburns fit ok? and give enough clearance. im wondering if certain cranks have different amounts of angle thus more or less clearance. i cant afford a whole new isis bb and cranks for a month or two.. so i need to make do with a cheap option. ben john hynes has another pair of fsa cranks same as mine for 15quid . the tapers are fine and could be first option. i dont want to risk spending abit more on some middleburns to find they have poor clearance issues... what should i do lol!!! cheers people
  17. yeah its a square taper till i get some spare money for a new crankset and isis bb. my mates kortz arrived today so will be trying my chainset etc on the czar frame in the next day or 2 to see how it goes....
  18. just wanted to show that the pads hold me really well , and considering i weigh alot, you should guess they hold someone lighter alot lot better. my mate has coust pads and he's ordered what i have as his pads just aint holding . they are better than his bb7 on the front too. anyways its personal preferance really.....but i find these the best pads for me
  19. as ive said before.heatsink yellows are beasty... especially now with a harsher grind, and no tar !!! and i weigh like over 18 stone! proof..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GjKjuhQXok
  20. yeah will my setup work when most frames recommend a 18tooth upfront and 15 tooth rear setup.... dont want the chainring catching the chainstays or the crank arms hitting the magura slaves ... a longer bb axle would probably solve the slave clearance but its wether the chainring fits on the frame mostly
  21. hello people.... my mate has purchased a rockman kortz frame and his current white 07 czar stock frame looks to be heading my way, however i have a 22 tooth chainring and bash setup on my current echo. was wondering if it would fit onto the czar frame . my mate runs a 18tooth chainring up front on it with a 128mm bb axle. i have a 118mm bb and the way the chainstays on the czar frame are very wide and close to the bottom bracket . not sure if my setup would rub on the chainstays when i tighten it up ... hope you know what i mean
  22. cheers dude ..... yeah im 6'3 so pretty tall. dont want to feel too hunched over the bike , might try my stem see how it goes and if its uncomfy, then change the stem .
  23. cool, so its around 1065 wheelbase with +60 bb ....... would anyone happen to remember what stem works well with this? my current stem is an echo with about 15 rise and 120 ish length. my mate says that would be far too low on the frame so ill need a new one ...
  24. hello peeps, i got back into trials about 4 months ago, after 5 years off, and picked myself an echo urban stock bike up. slowly been upgrading the parts. the frame geo is 0 bb rise and 1040 wheelbase..... my mate has an 06 gu frame in his garage, he knows its short but not sure of the wheelbase, and he knows the bb is +60 anyone here know the wheelbase and also how the bike rides??? considering buying it but not sure if im gonna like the geo on it cheers people
