Thanks for all the great advice guys. I took my rear brake off today so hopefully that will force me to rely on balance more. Mark, it was actually your 1:18 clean video that really turned me more towards street, your style is great. You and ali make brakeless look so easy ;_;

Hey everyone, I bought a fourplay a while back because I thought I was looking for a more street/ bmx'y bike. Later, however, I became more interested in trials trials and became a huge fan of doing things from the rear wheel. Now I'd like to go back and give street a try but I have no idea where to start. Learning to manual and bunny hop are probably the highest on my list, I was just wondering if there are any other bread and butter moves that I should try and learn, or even moves that people think are fun/ look cool. cheers! also if anyone has advice on how to manual, that would be great. The past few times i've tried I just busted my ass on the concrete

one of my favorite riders; I love his style -repost my bad

New York rider here. I've ridden with Lloyd several times and he's a great guy. There are only about 4 other people I know who ride in the city. I actually have some clips of him from over the summer that I'll try and upload soon

Hopefully this isn't a repost, found this video while cruising vimeo. It's only a teaser but i guess it's something to look out for, I also had no idea nike had anything to do with trials...

first trials bike i bought was an inspired. why? it had a seat. I had also wanted to try bmx at the time so i guess getting inspired didn't hurt. Also living in the US, i didn't want my bike to stand out too much (at the time) and the fourplay looked the most normal. I eventually bought a used stock pitbull which was a lot of fun but i really missed my seat so i switched back quite recently. I would trade for a 26'' inspired in a flash though.

great vid! I also really liked the first clip although looks like you almost died at 2 minutes in :/

it might just be me but some of the clips look a little soft on vimeo otherwise the video is awesome

chain looks fine i'd say you could fit in at least 20 more solid rides, no worries

why do people always ask AFTER they buy something?
-
looks like a horseshoe, bet it weighs the same

thanks for the info, that rotor's always been the main thing that caught my eye on his bike. I need to get me one.
-
can you see bone in that picture? ugh, i'd rather not think about that
-
can you get more pics of that stupidly large rotor? I've always wondered about that thing. Looks like it could be a saw blade or something.

great vid, nice song too although do note that I am never going to watch a video that is shot through your legs, no matter how amazing it is

<snip> For editing I use mostly Adobe after effects and sony vegas pro 9. I mostly do my graphical creation/ editing in AE then render and what not (add small edits+ musics and stuff) in vegas. A really helpful site for beginners learning AE would be videocopilot.net which has a bunch of free tutorials that i found helpful. If not googleing things like "after effects tutorials" or "vegas pro tutorials" should give you some great links. I have a few simple videos that i've made while i was bored which you look at to see if after effects is your thing. i'm only a beginner so just keep in mind that you can do much more, its lots of fun! http://www.youtube.com/user/iConiCFX only trying to help

So i recently made the switch from my fourplay to an '08 zoo pitbull stock (short) and I've been trying to adjust to the switch. I had the fourplay for around 2 solid months before I got tenodonitis in my right wrist which shut me down for 3 months and i've been riding for about a month now (maybe once or twice a week for 30mins to an hour). On the changeover I kept all the fourplay parts including the echo urban fork and stem, however the pitbull had a shorter headtube so i had to add another 2 spacers with the same stem. Obviously getting a short bike was not the best choice because I'm about 6'1'' however it was the only one available and pretty cheap ($105). Ever since i made the switch I feel like the stem when I'm up on the rear wheel is a little to short and as a result the handle bars are too far down for my liking. I'll try and get some pics in a bit but I was mainly wondering If a longer stem would help improve my consistency and control on the rear wheel. I was thinking of getting the tartybikes forged stem. Also sorry for the terrible paragraph structuring, wasnt really thinking straight.
