you can use any disc with any brake, doesn't matter what size, pattern or anything like that. I've found the shimano deore disc to be the best i've tried though.

what would happen if you used it in something that would usually require DOT oil?

She would probally need a small and short 20" trials bike of some sort. you're probably best off joining a ride and getting her to try some out so you know where you stand, you might even want smaller than a 20" in which case you'll probably want an 18" mini master or something along the lines of that.

I think it looks hidious (spelling?) just doesn't look right atall. Would probally look a bit better if it was on a ozonys curve or a single tube typed design.
