Lol those riding moments are funny, specialy the one bout the drunk guy and the apples i rememba back in the day when planet x zebedis where like the best thing in the world along with the hawyes giants! and if you had hs33 racelines or tomacs you were the bomb! lol! me and about six bedford riders were riding in the town centre in bedford near harpur square, outside boots,if your from or have ridden in bedford you probably know the dinky donuts lady and the little van thing she runs it out of in the winter, well we all had decided to sit for a little while, and there was a power lead that runs out from her van,n goes into a socket under some benches, haha my mate unplugged it and you just heard it go really quiet for a minute because her transformer generator thingy stopped,we all looked at eachother and wondered what was going to happen...........then BANG!!! the door on this donut van flew open and this crazy little old italian woman came running at us,WITH A WHEEL BRACE IN HAND!! waving it high in the air!! screamin BASTARDO'S!! I TEACHA YOU TO MESS WITHA ME AY!! she chased us out of the pedestrianised area of the town, was sooo funny as we were all riding away laughing and screamin, nearly falling off, dodging in and out of people while this mad woman chased us to beat us with a bar hahaha shes still there now outside M&S,so if u ever ride there, beware the ice cream/dinky donut lady

Hopefully thats the plan, and if it is ok just remember to not pull the lever in when there are no pads in the caliper,or even if the disc isnt in between them for that matter
-
i think he means he has activated the pistons in the caliper while there were no pads in it?? its an open system so that means that most likely the pistons came out so far as to allow brake oil to leak out as they wernt designed to travel so far,as to wether its ruined the brake caliper i don't really know, perhaps if u insert the pads again, then bleed the brake to replace the lost fluid, and remave any air that may have possibly gotten into the system it may fine once again? don't quote me though lol as im onli half sure

Drivetrain Updates (gear Ratio, Onza Zoot)
craiggy1984 replied to AlexC's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
sweet, id say defo run 18t front freewheel/12 fixed rear ratio, thats what i have always run,on mods and on my current CZAR stock, and iv never gotten to a point where it was too easy to peddle, unless im coasting down a hill or peddling fast somewhere in a hurry to get to a riding spot or something like that lol -
No worries buddy Buy it,you wont be dissapointed and if you are then blame me haha,,i have a friend who is like 6ft tall n quite built, even he said it feels like a long bike....im defo not dissapointed,i love my czar, one thing you will find is that it's very hard to land on the bashring on anything, because of the high rise on the bottom bracket,it made me improve the move when u have your front wheel on a ledge/wall etc, then u jump stright upto the wall/ledge on the back wheel, don't know what that move is called though,i had to learn it better because i could not bashring to back wheel any longer,i find it sooo easy on this czar ivan, hopefully you will too good luck Alex
-
Hi alex, lol i was just looking at this one,i just bought a czar ivan and im sooo happy with it,paid 340pounds for mine although i think i got a better spec as i have try all rims, zoo rear and gu front hubs, the try all 108.9 freewheel, newer magura on rear and hope mono trial front disc with limited edition blue resevoir cap on the lever, i can report to you that i find it very nice to ride,it actualy does feel like a long frame to me,and the high bottom bracket and extremely short, stiff rear end on it makes it so good on the back wheel,iv been riding it for 3weeks and im better on this already, thats an achievement when considering iv onli been riding a few months after a 9year break, and i was riding a mod....the czar doesnt weigh much at all,if i lived nearer to you id say meet up and u could have a ride on my czar......hope this helps Alex if your on facebook add me and i have pics of mine there...Craig Fogarty....profile pic is of me riding.doing a drop

-
Hey borat Thanks for your help,it kind of cleared itself up all by itself?? must have been a glaze on the pads or something?? but if it does it again i shall no doubt take your advice and give the brake a good old bleed thanks

Hi people,i just recently purchased a czar ivan off ebay, the bikes lovely and i cannot fault it one bit,the brakes work excellent, well untill the other day when i was doing long stoppies down a steep ramp, the disc began rubbing on the pads after doing this about seven times, why has it done this? it's an open system right? so surely it would not be to do with heat build up? it was set up almost perfectly too and my rotor was straight, now is slightly warped, and i promise i have not hit the rotor because even when i do sidehops up stuff i got to the right so my disc is on the other side safe as houses Any ideas on how to sort this? the brake isnt as strong feelin anymore n slips through when im settin up for gaps and such stuff Help will be much appreciated, thanks people
-
You getting on ok with the onza then? sweeet lol sometimes when i wake really early in the morning i go downstairs n see the czar sitting there under the stairs and im confused for a few seconds,i think wheres the lil onza gone?? miss it a little but i'll be used to the stock soon Are you goin to continue using bitumen on the rims? i suggest you get a light grind on both rims, get some new pads, and cut them flat for a better surface contact between rim and pad ensyring that the slave pistons are set up dead even, lol wont sound like a squeeling goose then hope to see you out riding soon,im actualy heading to county and bedford college a bit later
-
