  1. By the looks of it the welding on the marino looks pretty good. Probably not the neatest (that award goes to gary curtis!) as for quality you get what you pay for, but at least if it snaps you could fix it yourself with a mig welder as they are steel frames, and also i noticed that majority of street riding frames (mtb not trials) are steel as its more forgiving and bends rather than snaps like alloy.
  2. Is that in uk pound sterling or in us dollars? As i know u need to pay in dollars. How do u do that any way?
  3. how much is a custom build frame? Cuz i fancy a 24 with et geo and horizontal drop outs and a disc mount aswell.
  4. yeah they make mod frames in standard mod geo and custom build too
  5. You can have a marino frame how ever you want it, inspired geo, wb 1040, bb +35, chainstay 385mm, ha 73 24uk geo, wb 1025, bb +25, chainstay 385 mm, ha 73. So if u wanted one of them thats ur geo. But you can specify pretty much anything you want for a custom build with marino. So the choice is yours!
  6. Make sure u wrap the s**t out of it with bubblewrap though cuz i would be worried sick about them denting it!
  7. They did look nice the old et's im dying to get my hands on a 24" and theres none avialable! What was the geo on the et? I cant remember exactly, i know the 24uk geo was similar to the et.
  8. Great i cant even get hold of a inspired fourplay yet and there Gunna bring out a newer version! B******ds lol! Sods law! But back to the ashton! Were the old et's brittle then?
  9. I havent ridden one yet so i wont comment on geo but disc tabs would make it more appealing and also horizontals would be nice to keep the rear end tidier
  10. Ditto! I have heard the et geo was lush! Hope they keep the disc mount the same as it looks sick between the chainstay and seatstay. I belive from what i saw on the ashton website it will be 229 for the frame but it could change
  11. A little bit, they are similar around the seat tube area. also similar to the onza t-rex the onza zoot and the coustellier and the koxx giacomo coustellier replica.
  12. Well i had a look on crc and it would appear that u were right Luke! The new shimano xt v brakes arent parallel push!
  13. Is there any real difference between the try-all hope mono trials and the regular hope mono trials other than the red piston cap and red master cylinder cap with try-all on it?
  14. Well its down to the inspired and the ashton for me, we have been going over the 24" frames in another thread. I have no idea on the ashton but Martyn has said it will be out soon! I cant wait for it to come out. Im thinkin the ashton as the fourplay is out of stock for a couple of months now! I have heard good things about the marino frames, as for the reset i dont have a clue ive seen them on tarty but other than that nothing, the yaabaa, the consensus is they are too long for 24" street as they also fit 26" wheels too.
  15. I do know what its like startin a business i worked for several months along side my dad getting his business started bout 2 years ago. I understand that problems happen but we were more annoyed that there was no news of progress on it. But anyway now Martyn has cleared things up abit i know what to expect. I was frustrated that after the team ashton article in mbuk proclaiming that it would be released very and it would be one of the best play bikes around and then it sort of fizzeled out! I am really lookin forward to its release as i really want one!
  16. sorry! My computer threw a hissy fit and went mental i dont know what happened there. Sorry guys! Feel a bit silly now! sorry! My computer threw a hissy fit and went mental i dont know what happened there. Sorry guys! Feel a bit silly now!
  17. Im going to use a hope pro 2 trials on my 24 but ill use a hope front hub aswell and im Gunna use dmr dv rims which i have used in the past and are really strong. I might switch to halos i know that they are not light but hugely strong!
  18. Ah Martyn some one said you were here. It does sound like were moaning, me especially! I just couldnt work out why the bike/frame was takin so long to come out. There was little or no news on the website. But u have cleared it up for us.
  19. That is a major blow for u man, it f**kin sucks to be honest mate! I cant imagine how u feel at the moment! But at least u can get the frame from tarty and ill just wait till august! Still look on the bright ride mate u got a shiny new inspired! Any way thanks for letting me know what was happening bud.
  20. Sounds good man! I like green parts! Especially profile snot green stuff! And their orange kit too!
  21. What do u mean? Martyn is on the forum? If he is hopefully he could shed some light cuz people are dying to know whats what!

  23. Sounds like a good colour choice man! What colour parts u got? I was thinking for mine black with white forks and gold rims and hubs.
  24. Um i reckon a onza t rex will be a good bet if ur a bit of a frame killer! From what i have been told they are massively strong and i have never heard of anyone snapping a t rex.
