  1. The effect is one of the most responsive 24's i've ridden, its just plain fun!
  2. yeah thats what i said ill need an evo mount! ;P
  3. Does anyone know if the effect will have 4 bolt magura mounts or V-brake mounts?
  4. About 10 years i was given chainspotting and dirty tricks and cunning stunts for christmas. I watched them and i was hooked the martin's sections in chainspotting blew me away i had never seen such bike control and i was hooked.
  5. I did have a lovely GT chucker hardtail until some b*****d robbed it tuesday night! Had society xeno forks, halo tornado wheels, dmr moto rt tires, truvativ cranks, V8 pedals, shimano M555 deore rear disc, truvativ bar & stem. Had it set up as a street shreadder really gunna miss that bike.
  6. Thats pretty fit for a TGS machine:D looks real sleek and stealthy.
  7. The martins obviously, chris leeson, the tongues, kurt brain, chris akrigg, then you have non uk stars, ot pi, hans rey, jeff lenosky, jj gregorwicz, ryan leech, cesar canas, lance trappe, thibult maurrix. Those are the main ones that spring to mind any way. I remember spendin dark rainy winter evennings in my teens watchin videos of these guys and being absolutely gob smacked at some of the riding!
  8. Thats the problem with light weight comp based frames. Snappy snappy! But to say all montys are crap is a little unfair i had an urban for 2 years and not a problem!
  9. I do agree to a certain degree. People have been kept waiting for the effect and justice and it was a no show. But prehaps there were good reasons for the delay. I am still going to hold on for the ashton as it looks sick!
  10. If the car is worth while then yes (ie, skylines, supras, evos, scoobys, rx7s ect) A subtle bodykit is as much as i would go. Nice wheels, sorted suspension and tune it to f**k! But if its a clio, saxo or any other shit box like that then no. They all need to be DESTROYED! Old school cars like minis, beetles are cool too! Could anyone explain why chavs put spoilers on their cars when the car is A. Front wheel drive B. put one on the rear of the car to create downforce C. Thus essentially liftin the front wheels and reducing drive!
  11. Ghetto! Thats what it is i like it!
  12. Alot of tgs riders i met over the years have had their head stuck up their arse. Not all do thats not what im sayin but my point is that its an offshoot of trials going in a different direction and away from the static stuff tgs riders enjoy. I wont ride tgs as its not my cup of tea ill stick to street but to say i have a shitty attitude when 3/4 of tgs riders bad mouth danny mac cuz its not "proper" trials is ok though? Im not gunna turn this into a danny mac debate we have all had enough of that topic. And also i have seen this many times "i dont like the 24 scene" and now there all interested cuz it doesnt have a seat! But each to their own, that was my opinion though so it counts for little as people will do what they want.
  13. I thought the point of a 24 was street riding for fun? And now tgs riders are gunna go 24 and turn it boring with their weight saving, inch hunting, static gapping, side hopping ways? Oh joy!
  14. quite expensive! They were about 700 quid. A friend of mine ran a pair of marin carbon forks and ran them for a whole season with out a problem.
  15. I voted too! Some good questions there need more info on the hub, ect. Should make for interesting reading of the results me thinks
  16. standard IS mount i guess mate. If your running a bracket to to space it from 160mm to 180mm then a +20 disc mount will be better and does away with the spacer.
  17. on my hardtail 120 psi runnin khe park tyres On my trials bike around 70-80 psi i ride street though.
  18. look cool man. Like it. Nice to see gears on a trials bike just like the old days! As the guys said thats a kick ass saddle leave it as is mate.
  19. problem is leon most of those frames dont exist anymore, and those who have them arent selling so its a catch 22 situation mate. i would give anything for a zebedi frame.
  20. yeah sorry to go off topic. I guess a similar thing to mod / stock, smaller wheels would give more clearance. But i think 24s are purely designed for street riding and the "streety" 26 are just short wheelbase frames.
  21. the thought of a pair of marino street machines. A 26 with zebedi geo and a 24 with ashton ET geo! I hear what your sayin dude they wpuld feel sooo different but i think it could be interesting!
  22. just thinkin i might just have to get a 24 and a 26 as i just cant decide!
  23. i voted man. Seems quite a good survey maybe some of the mainstream manufacturers should take a look at the results!
  24. thats true, i got an old skool set of d321 & d521 rims in the garage that i could build up on to some pro 2 trial hubs
