I used it for a bit of natty but mainly street. I found the compound too hard and not very grippy in the dry and absolutly leathal in the wet. Not too bad for rolling resistance or wear rate but outright grip is slightly less than average.
I like the sound of micro pitch chain and sprockets the strenght issue im asssuming could be sorted by widening the chain and teeth am i correct??
Also prehaps a trials specific version of the 240 ep profile hub. I'd love to see hope have a crack at that!
I really dont see why some people are getting so irate. We all at some point or another will need to upgrade something on our bike if we chose to buy off the shelf so deal with it. I mean "if" you could change the wheel with adaptors. Your looking at £20-£30 for the adaptors, £50+ for a wheel and between £20 and £40 for a tyre you might as well of saved that little extra for the bike with a 19" wheel in the 1st place.
I wonder how long before Trialtech venture into thr frame market? Their components are fantastic could you imagine what a Trialtech frame would be like.
It was utter shite for me.
My old man got sectioned again he's been in the loony bin for 8 months now.
Had to have surgery on my knee again 3rd time now.
Crashed my CCM and racked up £1260 of damage!
Broke the gudgeon pin on the CCM and had to strip her down to the crankcases.
Snapped my frame.
Had my beautiful GT stolen.
Had 2 front doors and a window smashed at my flat.
Just a bit f**ked off,ed with it now!
Hopfully next year is better though.
Sorry to be padantic and picky Matt but what Rowan is riding is the old justice frame and not the resolve. But your right its a better all rounder than most.
Stock, the raw, drilled out ashton resolve with green hope kit or Leon neill's marino.
24, 2011 Inspired team in green or Stan's yellow echo urban 24 with purple bits.
The ashton is longer than your old Echo and you say your a spinny rider then its probably not advised. (Goin on strictly geometry here) prehaps a rockman switch maybe better. Its not silly short something around 1060mm so traditional trials is still possible without major hassle but will make spinny stuff easier.
