  1. Put that brake cable through the top cap mate. Bike looks uber slick though mate really stealthy and clean.
  2. prehaps a set of 3" Gusset open prison bars there 22.2mm and comes with 25.4 shims for your stem. As for headset i run a FSA pig dh which is a good solid headset and cost me about 19 quid so not mega expensive and levers wise i have a pair of avid sd7 levers which are fantastic, comfy to use, solid well made and plenty range of adjustment also. Back to the bars the gussets are best suited really to streety/bmxy type riding If thats what your into they should be ok but probably not suited to Proper trials as there not wide enough or that kinda shape.
  3. Well....... Um...... Its different! I'll give you that. Kinda cool though have to admit
  4. i thought you were gunna buy some Tnn LGMs from what you were saying in NMC? They will help significantly though or some heatsink yellow or snowies. With regards to the seatpost i think custom is the only option, most trials frames ie, rockman, inspired, because, ashton ect, have adopted the 27.7mm post and 31.8 clamp combo.
  5. A quick question to the aircooled crew. I am currently in a restoration job with my brother in law on a 1973 beetle. Its his build but im doing all his welding for him. We are both wondering how much power you can put through the standard gearbox before it becomes a problem? He's looking at a 2ltr turbo pre built motor. And also will i need to reinforce the rear of the chassis because of the increase of power?
  6. cheers mate. I need to go away and think about it now.
  7. A high front end goes without saying! I need high bars ect, to feel comfortable on any bike i ride.
  8. I would like eventually to ride abit like Ali C does. But im still learning the basics of trials that was why i was thinking about the rockman as its kinda in the middle ground between street and TGS if you get what i mean. I wanted something that wont hold up my progression but when the mood takes i can still mess around.
  9. Hmmm there is alot to think about here more to it than i thought!
  10. Im 5' 8" i have ridden mtb street for the last few years. Im looking for somthing in the mid ground really. Something i can manual and spin but not so short it will comprimise my learning of "proper" trials also. Im not sure the WB length will be that much of an issue on the switch as my old mongoose ritual was almost as long as the switch and i could beast that around.
  11. Learn to ride properly!! Need to practice all round. Get along to the DJ memorial ride this year and the 24 tour if its on again this year. And finally meet some of you guys and put some faces to names on here.
  12. Thats what i was riding. I was really after a "proper" stock frame with a seat! To be honest with you mate.
  13. The ashton is tempting mate. But surely thats longer than the switch though?
  14. I love that dvd. Awesome, really shows you how far we have come. it puts across the spirit of the original sport and where its at now, you get an insight into the minds of the pros aswell as some great riding.
  15. I know i know another "which should i get " thread but please bear with me. Im in need of a new frame as i killed my old saracen somw while ago. I was intending on switching to 24" but now its financally not viable. So i want to buy a 26" street frame as nice as the hex is it out of my price range so i have narrowed it to the Because street or the Rockman switch. Both are nice lookin but im swaying towards the switch as its a touch shorter and has a lower BB too. As this is my 1st modern stock frame im slightly unsure. Any reveiws or advice would be very welcome. Thanking you please.
  16. only time will tell in a couple of years we could all be riding these.
  17. I've been there too. My best advice is to chin up and take it a day at a time. Once i explained it to my friends they were a better cure than anything the doctors could prescribe. My sketch pad was a great help too. My motocross bike was a god send aswell. Like i said keep your chin up.
  18. Nice. Does that paint finish have an irradeccent shine to it?
  19. Tnn pads are made by an Australian company they have Aluminium backings which are mega stiff with the super grippy material give awesome lock and hold and look super pimp too.
  20. Someone on here had them on his planet x zebdi for street riding
  21. Wb, 1015mm Bb, +0 Cs, 378 Ha, 73 I think although that might be the Mk4.
