  1. If you steerer tube is the same thickness all the way down then you'll need a LONG flat head screwdriver or metal/wood bar and a hammer and tap it all the way down and out the bottom of the steerer. And to fit the new one sit it on the top of the steerer with the bolt in the thread and tap it down gently a bit at a time till its in the same position as the old one and your done.
  2. Sorry Skoze i only have a set of try-all yourself replica bars in 25.4mm and i doubt you'll want them!
  3. I'll have look. What size bar clamp? 25.4 or 31.8?
  4. Im like a kid before christmas!! Just a few more days....... Tehe!
  5. Try Chain Reaction Cycles mate i know they stock them.
  6. I really really really hope its nice weather on the sunday!
  7. You've lost me there mate. Not quite sure what you ment.
  8. A dark purple with a couple of bits of purple echo parts.
  9. How would you folks rate the Shimano Acera on the rear?
  10. I've heard no horror stories about them. But if your worried about strength and lightness i'd suggest Sunn rhino lite xl's really strong and pretty light too (lighter than the Y.M.I.A.B i belive)
  11. Matt Black nice and stealthy. Yellow would look good, brown would look ace bit unusual too (for a mod at least!)
  12. Well a shorter stem will make it feel flickier and slightlier easier to manual the downside is it will feel more cramped and the front will feel twichier which might make you feel uncomfortable
  13. Have a look at the latest saracen range some of them have great specs for a little price tag.
  14. 2001 Saracen X-ile not great but good for muckin around. Will get round to owning a fourplay (one day!)
  15. Yeah im up for that mate. I'll need to get the train down there.
  16. I havent mate. Ridden Newbury, Baisingstoke and Southampton. There is pretty much nothing in Andover im gettin bored now!
  17. Cant wait for this. Will be good to meet new riders! Put some faces to names prehaps be cheeky and ask a few folks for a spin on their 24s!
  18. Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up for me lads.
  19. So what is the difference between them other than the price?
  20. I've had 3 hope brakes now and had NOTHING but problems with em and i wont use them again. Many folks on here use them no worries though. Genuinely the nicest brake i've used in years is the shimano SLX. Power, modulation, feel all in all fantastic and have the added bonus of EPIC shimano reliablity. Hayes are good but a little wooden, Magura louise's are good not as powerfull as a hope though. If reliability, lightness, simplisity and power are what your after bb7 with an sd7 lever is where its at mate.
  21. I would'nt know about Mod's but yeah for 24s and 26s i reckon there spot on.
  22. I've just changed over to a Rear v this weekend and wow i love it. Im running an Avid sd7 lever with a Vocal Chord cable, Shimano acera arms and Gusset squealer pads on a smooth rim and its immense more hold than my old disc and lots lots lighter.
