  1. Shimano SLX one of the best brakes i've used. Cheap, solid, pretty much maintence free, good power and feel. I personally (not many will agree) like hayes disc brakes but many find them quite wooden. Avid juicy's are decent performers but not overly reliable they have been know to leak and blow seals. I ran a bikehut hydro for ages aswell good performance and reliable but lack feel, kinda like hitting a brick wall! Magura louise is very good almost as good as the hope in every aspect but doesnt have that glassy-like feeling modulation of a hope brake. But for the money i would go for the SLX every time.
  2. That is gorgeous mate. Properly jealous!
  3. Apparently some guy that rides for inspired uses the saint servo wave brakes. I've used the SLX and i really rate, them probably my fave brake i've ever used.
  4. I think 12t is the limit. One thing i will tell you is through trial and error i've found a 3 tooth difference is probably the most you can get away with, other wise you'll end up with alot of chain skip. I think i ended up running a 16t for Trials and 14t for general riding around.
  5. I do and it works fine. I have a tensioner that has the roller and jockey wheel on a sliding rod so all i have to do is undo the pinch bolt, slip the chain across do up the bolt again. Then to take up any remaining slack i undo the mech hanger bolt pull the arm back and tighten the bolt again. I've never had a problem with it skipping or moving.
  6. plenty for the spank bank lol
  7. I personally dont think Massa's head is in the right place for F1 racing anymore since the Hungary incident. And i reckon Lewis will be back to normal when he gets Nicole out of his system.
  8. Anybody's thoughts on the first ever Indian Grand Prix?
  9. Depends which halo you are on about. The combat is verrry heavy, the SAS is a bit lighter than the combat but the tornado is a fair chunk lighter than both.
  10. Aw that sucks!! R.I.P Sir Jimmy.
  11. Me thinks you will struggle with this. You want light weight to at least equal ur v brake but you dont want to pay the premium that goes with it am i about right?
  12. Same as! To be honest none of them are what i would call howlers!
  13. Thanks Dave. I had heard that rumour this morning. But Davide Brivio issued a statement that Rossi wont retire yet. But if Vale and Colin do decide to retire who could blame them.
  14. Absolutely. Rossi had no where to go anyway as Colin was coming down on him. Has there been any statement from Rossi?
  15. It still hasnt sunk in properly yet, doesnt feel real somehow. He had that spark that not many other GP riders have ie, Dani Jorge. He had a real personality and ora of someone who didnt take things too seriously.
  16. Too many racers have died this year. 3 at the TT earlier this year, Ben wilson's team mate at Cadwell park BSB and now Marco. I hope this doesnt happen again this year.
  17. Do you take lessons in being a C**T? Or does it just come naturally?
  18. It was acombination of the injuries i think Ali. Also he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
  19. Ciao Super Sic. R.I.P 58
