  1. Cheers Ali. Trialtech high risers or Inspired risers are on my list and have a nice short stem sat in my toolbox already.
  2. Right Boys (and girls) i have FINALLY got enough funds for a 24" and i'd like a bit of advice on set up just general tips and words of wisdom really. From your own trials and tribulations with these sort of bikes. Anything constructive would be fantastic. Thanks guys. Scott
  3. That bike is sexy!! Quick question what is the Tensile 60 click like? Fancy one for my ashton.

Weather or not your a bike fan TT3D closer to the edge is WELL worth a watch. Its very entertaining.
  5. I used to run gears back in the day. Now i run 2 cogs and undo my tensioner and move the jockey wheels across to the other cog. Takes about a minute to swap over.
  6. That bike is so....... well just WOW!! Mega jealous!
  7. I've noticed a few of the inspired riders are getting away with not using a tensioner and still having a tight chain. How is this done? Is it down to gearing or chainstay length? I would like to do this with my new Ashton Effect would this be possible? has anybody tried it? Thanks in advance for any info or advice. Scott.
  8. We used to when we were younger as you tend to see things a little one sided. Nowadays i try stay away from crowded/open areas like the town centre, just to try and make it easier for myself. If occasionally they do turn up i talk to them like a normal person and that usually defuses 'em! I've got to know a few plods so there usually fairly cool about it.
  9. Those forks were pretty heavy but strangely they didnt feel it when they were on the bike. I ran a set on my Azonic then my monty and the forks out lived both frames! Kicking myself now as i gave them away. D'oh!
  10. The Because Simple all the way!! Never likes mods never will! Also i personally think its the best looking.
  11. Hey buddy. I know how you feel i ride alone now as everybody else jacked it in and i find it harder to ride these days. As regards to the 24 you might want a shorter stem with a few stackers something like a 90x25 stem or 70x35 is becoming popular now. Something like 18-14 or 18- 13 gearing will be good for both styles of riding. Where abouts in Wiltshire you living?
  12. Especially when i got mine for the Bargin basement price of £18 for the pair from my LBS!
  13. I love my SD7's and wouldnt change them for the world.

As sad as may sound i cant wait for the Nitro Circus movie!!
  15. The Pivotal seat can be replaced. But the pivotal mount is built into the frame so it cannot be changed. Having said that i belive somebody on here did cut the mount off the frame and fitted a regular post and seat clamp setup.
  16. Did anybody see the one Jim DeChamp had on nitro circus? Was similar but had a ski either side of the rear dropout and a set of Marzocchi DJ1's
  17. To be honest with a good setup a V-brake will have just as much power if not more and will have better hold too, also its lighter. I switched from rear disc to V-brake and never looked back.
  18. Ok cheers for the advice buddy
  19. No it wont fit buddy. I think your resrtricted to Hope mono\tech trial or the new Echo disc brake. I know a few guys have put other systems on with some serious work\fettling.
  20. Yeah i knew about the lockring. So i will be checking in from time to time.
