I was thinking single wall rims, and kenda small block 8 tyres which are pretty light. I've already got trialtech forged stem and high rise bars which are quite light.
I'm currently building a 2005 onza T-rex (its what I've got on my budget so no "buy a lighter frame" comments please!) I'd like to shed a bit of weight from it as it's a bit of a heavy lump! So far I've cut the gear cable tabs off and cut a hole on the head tube and stripped the paint. Is there anything else I could do to shed some grams or is it now down to buying lighter parts?
Looking for advice for rawing aluminium parts, especially bigger items like frames and rims and also the best way to get a nice finish to parts if they've had the anodizing/powdercoat sanded off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
