It's exactly the same as the 2.7s, the tyres have actually been out for ages but only for sponcered riders have had them up to now ( and lucky riders who managed to steal them ) There softer than the 2.7s and genrally a very nice tyre although I think there a bit comp specific due to the softness.

Anyone Watching That "nostradamus" Thing On Discovery?
Matt_Tupman replied to mat hudson's topic in Chit Chat
I think it's a load of bull!! Yeah they go on about all his correct predictions but thats about 1% of the total predictions he made!! If I made a shit load of predictions for the future I'm sure a few would be right Oh and if you take it all seriously then acording to Nostradamus the world has ended so many times up to this point and will aparently be destroyed several times more in the future it's bull -

Fuel isn't a massive deal really I can get a good 40 mile out of mine if it's all road work. What you do have to remember is that there 2 stroke so the fuel is premixed with oil so you may want to find a way to carry a small amount off oil on the bike somewhere. HAHAHA! sorry just made me laugh, you can pic up something old for £500 in the papers or on Ebay, do it it's a great laugh.

15 16 17 18 19 20 Tooth Fixed Cogs, Anybody Interested In Them?
Matt_Tupman replied to Davetrials's topic in Trials Chat
The chain is over a much smaller area when it's on the sprokets which means increased presure on the chain, but I don't think you'd have a problem with a Kool -
Was a great read but was always a week behind TF I'd much more prefere to be back on Section 7 but people can right crappy half written updates and news on here much quicker than the higher quality reading that you got through Section 7. I think when people crave the latest gossip and news TF will win everytime. So there seemed to have bought TF to the level of tabloid papers

Thats cus some people seem to think if they can't find it on the internet then it doesn't exsist Any good roadie bike shop should have all these sizes -
Sexyest stock?? if i still rode stock i would! Although I think they should slot the disc mounts aswell to help a bit with the setup, bit horivontal dropouts on a stock is a big step forwards

2mm i'd just chuck my bike in the bin right now if it was 2mm shorter

What tree? Just a point that poeple seem to be missing here, your all going on about swearing is driving the public away and that they don't want to come and listen to that but the fact that we as trials organisers aren't even trying to get large amounts of spectators is surely a much bigger reason for these low numbers. I think the two proberly go hand in hand but to be honest there are no spectators at trials anyway so I think we need to work on that as the bigger picture. Swearing at comps is not as bad as people make out and as has been before 99.9% of the time it's self directed through frustration not great big brawls between riders and observers as people seem to be trying to make out. Also I read Mr Ashtons artical for the first time today and was prity shocked by it, he talks about our trial (Devon round of the British Champs) and hearing bad laguage everywhere to qoute 'Foul language, aggressive outbursts and arguing with the officials' Well i'm not sure were he heard that but we had no complaints from any observers and they all said the riders were very well behaved than in the past, I'm a bit gutted that Mr Ashton couldn't have come and pointed out some of these people to us so we could have taken action. Anyway as i've said before I don't think we need to make any drastic changes to rules just inforce them were they need to be and just to let the riders know that such attitude is not accepted if we do see it happen. Matt

Might be an old tyre but i know the latest tyres are road legal, there not legal in America it says though I think in france they have a lot of road trials, something that is not so common in the UK. All new makes of bikes come with everything to make them road legal they just need regestering and MOT. Lots of universal lighting and horn kits are avalible so if you get an older bike that doesn't have all the gear with it you shouldn't have any problems getting it sorted

Floating discs are by far the best you can get even if they do cost alot, as Ali has said it's so the discs can more when heating and cooling but the more important reason is that they are self centering which means you always have the best braking performance and the most contact area for better hold. I'd got for version 4 as I feel that wavey rotors with low contact area are very grabby but don't hold very well and as you wanted the best holding disc thats what i'd go for. I've owned version 2 and 5 and they where both wank, really grabby but not a nice leaver feel and slipped when under any load. Always chose function over form

Current Michelin and Dunlop trials tyres are road legal luckly If you want a harder compound rear tyre thats still trials style go for a Pirreli MT43 they last much better on the road than the other to
-
Instant ingagement and no need to brake on gaps Ok i tried it and it resulted in pain
-
Don't need indicators and you could get a daytime MOT so you don't need lights My trials bike is MOT'd I mostley use it for road trials were there sections are spread over a few miles with a bit of road work in between but it is good fun to take it for a ride round town certainly turns a few heads. Local carparks walls look more bashed than ever
