This morning I had to attend a medical assessment as part of my insurance claim. That was one of the biggest jokes I have ever experienced. I had previously filled out an on-line assessment which the 'doctor' (I'm sure he was fully qualified but I found it hard to think of the guy as a doctor) then went through filling out additional notes. He asked me to turn my neck left, right, up and down, then got me to bend over and try to touch my toes, every time I did a stretch he commented with "oh your muscles do look tight and painful" and he ticked more boxes on the screen. He asked me brief questions about what physio I had been given and advised me I should not be doing any sport. After all of 5 minutes he said he is going to put down that I require 4 months recovery and said that was it. I had to do a 26 mile round trip on public transport and take most of the morning off work for that bullshit. It just all seemed like one big money making scam, although saying that I'm not sure I should be complaining

Where is this amazing LCR that is apparently on E38 then Jardo?
-
You have better eyes than me then
-
Shut up Jardo, if I had done that I would have ended up with the heap of shit I viewed last week!

Pretty much exactly 1 year since I picked up the Cupra that is now in the scrap yard. My insurance policy was going to auto renew on Sunday so I phoned them on Friday and asked about transferring vehicles etc... Last year my insurance was about £530, this year INCLUDING the non-fault crash/write off it was going to be £493 (They gave me this quote including 8 years protected no claims and before they had actually written my car off as a Cat B ). After a quick discussion I found out that if I want to insure a 2004 225bhp LCR it will currently cost me around £495 Still no replacement car found though

Personally I would sell it on or scrap it and save the money to buy another car when I was in a more comfortable financial situation. Annoyingly you will now lose out on your April tax, the DVLA have to have received the tax disc and form back in the post by the end of the month otherwise you lose out on the next month as well. Ring around the local scrap yards and check how much they will pay you per tonne, this time last year I got £160 for my 306.

New tyres and tracking would be top of my list right now...

Are you trying to get Rainbird to buy your car?
-
The Enzo wasn't for me. I didn't like it, there was nowhere to put my bike and I was very disappointed with the power of the brakes.
-
I'm going to view a Ferrari Enzo later today, I think it will be an ideal replacement for the Leon.

I just saw this car and nearly made a mess in my pants. It is so much nicer for £4k than the heap of shit me and Prawn viewed yesterday! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-leon-cupra-R-2004-platinum-grey-/171016491027 This car is also an example of refurbed wheels that are darker for George to look at, I personally think the standard colour wheels look nicer.
-
What is wrong with the standard lights or are you planning on making your car look like a chaved up heap of shit?

http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201303275976591/ As soon as I saw it I knew I didn't want it. Wrecked front splitter, rear bumper needed a re-spray, the carpets were wet (although I couldn't tell if they had recently been cleaned or if it was the door seals), there was some after market alarm that made unlocking anything but the drivers door a pain, a few other scratches and marks around the paint work, all the badges were worn and the interior had seen better days. Even if I had got it for £3k I wouldn't have been happy with it!

Went to look at my first potential replacement car today and it turned out to be a heap of shit and a waste of an afternoon. Ah well, I got to spend the afternoon with Mr Prawn and we got a pub lunch in Bournemouth

March is the start of the new registration plates so that is probably why Jardo seems to have sold a lot of new cars, I believe it is the tougher/slower of the two registration periods though (Due to being after Christmas etc...)
-
Shut up! I am having to increase my budget because of this

And if you look at this link you get to see how solid the Leon's are! It saved me from serious injury in that accident so I'm looking to buy another! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/174368-the-car-thread/?p=2495972 The 1.8t LC/LCR will get you 30+ MPG, look amazing, 5 door so they are practical, comfortable drive and they are pretty damn nippy when you want them to be I have been shopping for a replacement for over 3 weeks now and I would say there are more overpriced ones on the market than well priced ones, from what I have seen lately me and Rainbird got absolute bargains when we bought our cars!
-
Yep they have been painted red. The FR comes with the same brakes as the Cupra, it's only the Cupra R's that have red Brembo's as standard. The FR's have Cupra R bumpers, silver mirrors, that love or hate black/grey interior and 17" versions of the Cupra R wheels. Most of the FR's you will see are diesel although I recently learnt that it was also available with a 1.8t petrol engine. Also note - The front splitter has been ripped off and it appear that part of it still on the passenger side

5 bikes and 5 people plus gear will be VERY tight in an L200 with the roof on! 4 DH bike and 4 people in a Toyota Hilux is awkward enough.
-
Put me down as well, postcode SP2. I have finally been paid for my car (Minus the excess which won't be paid until the other party admits fault, I last checked on Monday and they had still not heard anything from the Portuguese insurance company!). I'm already getting fed up of trawling the internet for a replacement car

When did your arse get so big compared to the rest of your body?

My offering definitely isn't sad, I was thinking along the lines of something you could listen to on a sad day to try and cheer you up. Emancipator just seemed to cover a lot of what you had listed. Chilled out electrical meets piano, violin and other instruments
