  1. I have been thinking that while taking the plunge into car audio but the way I see it is at home playing music can annoy the family/neighbours etc... however if I am in my car there is not one else to annoy and I can listen to what I like. The only time I really listen to music anymore is while in my car so to me having something more than the standard car stereo is nice...
  2. I am fairly decided on either a JBL or Infinity sub. Loads of people swear that JBL subs are the best in their price range and Infinity are made by exactly the same company. Sony Xplod? Dont use that foul language :D Sony speakers are wank, I have litterally based this on how terrible the Sony 6*9's sound :P" Cheers for trying to help but I dont need advice on 6*9's, I already have a nice pair of 6*9's and if you read through my post I state that I am fairly sure I will ditch the 6*9's in favour of a sub.
  3. Actually its Bob mk 2, created by fatmike (Y)
  4. Sorry for the bump but the audio system in the 306 was due an upgrade a long time ago. I have a pair of these sat downstairs waiting to be fitted, I picked them up in Halfords for £100 (Y) I also have all the amp/speaker cables downstairs waiting for the install. I will be buying one of these to amp the above components. I will also be amping up a pair of JBL 6*9's that are currently mounted in the parcel shelf. I think the 6*9's are going to wreck the sound and I expect I will get bored and want to add more to the system, so at some point they will be getting ditched and replaced with a sub (Straight away if money permits). The main question I have is do I go for a 10" or a 12" sub. I dont want stupid bass, I want quality, not quantity. I will also be running the sub in a sealed box. Will 10" be enough or would I be better off going for a 12"? I have been looking at some of the packages on http://caraudiosecurity.com/ and it looks like I can get either an Infinity or JBL sub and carpeted box for between £65 and £80, what do people recon to the deals on there and what would be best? Prawn, how are you getting on with your setup? I know you had the 4 channel JBL amp and you were going to be running the 10" JBL sub so how did you get on and what do you think of the final sound? Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance for any help, Tic
  5. Its one of those foam pads you get on kiddies bikes, that one happened to be from an action man kiddies bike if you hadnt figured out. Matt didnt have it on the bike in London today and had got bored/fed up of it being on his bike, I told him he should donate it to you Dave (Y)
  6. I hate you Adam :P There is no where like that down sooth (Y) You northeners are lucky! You have nice street aswell as BEASTLY natural!
  7. Raji's :P Lightweight glove with padding in the right places! Also nice and airy due to the mesh backings! They have a nice snot/sweat rag "terry towling" area on the thumb aswell which is a must on gloves for me! The palms last but admitedly the mesh back of the glove rips fairly easily (eg if you catch you little finger against a wall or rock) but to be honest I havent had a massive problem with this. They are also slip on which is great, and because of this they sit very low on your arms so they dont have as high a tan line (if that makes sence and your actually bothered about a tan line)
  8. Put yourself in the same situation, sure you would have layed into him, put him on the floor and kicked the shit out of him putting him in A+E straight after taking a hit to the face and [probably] going to the floor </sarcasm> Quite simple, that IS ASSAULT, go to the police :P If they do manage to find the person who hit you he will have little to no defence. Even if he only gets community service or a fine he still gets its recorded against his name, if he does anything out of line again, or has had previous convictions the f**ker will get in 'proper' trouble! At least the wanker wasnt carrying a blade/knife!
  9. Blaming it all on the other half, thats a terrible excuse Luke! :P
  10. I will only be going for a laugh, if you are short of observers I might observe, if your short of 20" red route riders I will make a fool of myself and ride red route (Y)
  11. Just remembered its free parking at Poole train station on Sunday's :)
  12. I can get us to free parking, or I think its cheap at the train station on a Sunday...
  13. I think I might pop along to this one...
  14. Its a knockout trials style?!?! :P :P
  15. Sunday 21st is the date of the NBR competition (Y)" See the news section of the forum for more information (Y)
  16. People helicoil 4 bolt brake mounts on their frames so I cant see helicoiling a disk caliper being a problem! I would give Hope a ring Jaime, it does seem strange you stripped the threads doing the bolts up by hand with a regular 5mm (or were you using a massive long allen key? (Y) )
  17. A really random thing just happened: I was in the 24 hour big Tesco's store in Salisbury at about 11pm and I saw some people I kinda recognised but thought nothing of it. Got to the tills and then saw the same group of people, noticed Bucky's chain tat on his arm and also recognised other people from nass/rides etc... I just suddenly realised they were trials riders and remembered the roadtrip that would have been on its way from Bristol to Southampton :P The guys were stocking up on food, making good use of the facilities and looking for a field for the night. Some spaced out hippy chick told them where there was a good farmers field but I advised that it would be a scetchy field :P They are currently somewhere between Salisbury and Southampton, hopefully they found the big lorry lay by on the A36 (Y) I took Mr Flash's mobile number and might drive to Southampton after I finish work at 5 for a ride (if they are still in Southampton at 6pm ish and im not in a pissed off mood from work :P ) I will probably also pop along to London on Saturday unless I end up with other plans (Y)
  18. Im sure I could make an appearance for you Luke (Y) I do agree there are better places to ride elsewhere in the South but I dont mind being a tour guide...
  19. According to the site they are based at: EasyBrew 133a Southampton Road, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 1HT Some of the top notch local pub brews around the area (including Salisbury of cousre) are made in Ringwood Brewery, it doesnt look like this easy brew place is related in any way but I thought I would post anyway (Y) There are also some top notch brews made just down the road in The Hop Back Brewery based in Downton. I have a feeling that some of the hop back brews are available around the country aswell... I say you should go for it Dave! Split the costs between all your house mates and see how it goes, it might all go wrong but at least you will have tried! EDIT: Shite you can also get spirit making kits! £19.50 for a kit + ingredients to make 120 shots of flavoured Vodka!!!
  20. This is true... However the Echo booster curves/sticks out at the barb area and really does protect the tubing from stray heels (I doubt that make sence :- )
  21. How long should the video be? I completed the download and its 10:40 and stops just as the Mike Aitkins name comes on screen...
  22. An Echo booster will protect it nicely (Y)"
  23. Do you keep clipping the crossover with your heal making the barb cut through the hosing??
