Buy-All tour Mk1+2 were the best and also the wierdest events this year for me. MK1 involved going to an airport to pick up Janson. I had never met him in real life before so it was wierd knowing I was going to be living with him for nearly 2 weeks. MK2 involved going to Bristol with just a sleeping bag not knowing where I was going to sleep for the next 2 nights. NASS was really the same as ever, highlights included seeing Adequate Seven and catapulting stuff around the campsite. No NASS is ever going to top NASS 2003! RIP DJ A weekend of pubs and riding at Jon Fishers near Derby with a load of other riders. There is too much to list really, however much I say I hate my life when I look back on it its not really too bad.

Sorry but there are loads of things to ask. What training methods he uses. If he eats healthy food and does lots of exercise. Does he eat differently during the weeks before a big competition. If he does any sports/hobbies other than trials. If he feels these other sports/hobbies help with his trials. You could ask stuff about music, tv etc... Im sure even a Pro trials rider has a life outside of trials and would love to answer questions that dont involve brake setup.

My best ever is 11846, I havent got close to that for a while though...

A nova If this works out its gonna f**king rule Once the basics are sorted the sponsorship should go well, where I have worked for close to 2 years is owned by Norwich Union and is in the same group as the RAC Nice post Lee, I was thinking along the lines of an old VW polo/golf, I have also been advised that Renault 4's are built like tanks. A Fiesta sounds like an option, as long as the car is basic and reliable thats all that matters really I spose. I also have little to no knowledge of car mechanics so me and Andy might be f**ked if (or should that be when) we break down in some random country.

Make sure you get pics of all the drunken trials riders

I was running the Battlefield 2 demo on my PC (ATI 9600, 3200 AMD Athlon XP, 1gb PC3200 RAM) in low/med settings without it crashing...

I agree, the Avid is HEAVY compared to anything hydraulic, the calipers are really heavy. I also agree the Avid doesnt like being hit against stuff. The red dials are exposed and can get damaged easily on sidehops/bails etc... If you properly hit the moving arm on the caliper you could do some serious damage (I snapped the internal cam on mine mullering the caliper down on a rock, the brake had suffered a good 6 months of heavy abuse from me learning sidehops before this though). But at the end of the day, if you do break the caliper its only £40-£50 for a new Avid Mecahnical (rotor/caliper/pad, so you end up with a spare disk and pads aswell!). You will already have a nice lever, the outer should be good for a while aswell, so its in all fairness it a cheap breakage.
-
I swear by my Avid Mechanical. Add an awsome XTR lever, use some nice outer (XTR, nokon etc...) and set up the brake as shown in the instructions and you cant go wrong. It only takes about 5-10 mins to set up and beds in just as quickly as any other disk brake. The brake has shed loads of adjustment. You just use the red dial on the caliper for the main adjustment then make fine adjustments with the barrel adjuster until you get the lever feel and bite point you want Im sure I will be out on a ride with you soon Adrian, if you want to play around with the brake just say

It more likely to be a mass of tangled up messy cables making it awkward to push it right back into place. Make sure you feed all the cables from the back of the stereo neatly into the dash space, dont leave them all tangled up blocking where the stereo will be sitting...

Nah, he was in a suicidal/idiot mood, he didnt even check to see if the post was solid/safe before he went for it

Go to hell USB modem, I have already gone back to the Netgear router The Allied Data Copperjet USB modem supplied by Freeserve is absolute shite. It has 2 lights on it that are either red or green. When you turn the PC on one light turns green to say the USB is connected properly, the other stay red untill it has connected to the ADSL. The wank USB modem takes an age to connect to the ADSL, I restarted the PC several times due to it screwing up the network connections, it only connected to the ADSL one time out of the few restarts I did! At least with this Netgear router I can actually get use the internet as soon as I turn my PC on and I havent got to f**k around waiting for it to connect to the ADSL! Computers do my head in when you get stupid little problems like this! Sorry I hi-jacked your thread Sidders

I hate that USB modem with a passion

You think you have problems? My Broadband has been randomly disconecting for ages. It seems to have happened since we upgraded to 2mb. Im running a Netgear wired router on the network and randomly the green light on it showing the broadband connectivity goes out cos the connection has been lost, it reconnects itself within 30 seconds. I also get the message that network connection2 has been disconnected... The Wankserve helpdesk cant help cos im not running their usb modem, they swear there is not a problem in my area and its going to be a problem with the router. BT wont test the line without permission from Wanadoo/freeserve... It seems to happen more at 'peak' times. Some evenings it disconnects itself every minute! Others it will do it like 1 time an hour, or not at all. I am hoping that when I get a new hdd and do a fresh windows install it will sort itself out and just be some crap network setting problem, although I cant see that any network settings are gonna effect the connection between the phoneline and my router.

WTF? Coke with Southern Comfort?!?! It should be Southern Comfort and Lemonade!

Close to this time last year Doctors were telling you that you would be lucky to ever ride a bike again!!! It f**king mental that you are now actually going the biggest you have EVER gone even with your ankle 'problems'!!! Video editing was up to your usual high standards, the riding was just stupidly bigger!
-
Or he could just go to ATI.com then to drivers and software...
-
the show layout so far I doubt I will bother with the bike this year. I never ride anyway! You que for ages then only get 15 mins. At NASS05 I rode for litterally only 15-25mins, the rest of the time my bike was in the car... To me the show isnt about riding, there is so much other amazing stuff going on it doesnt matter if you have your bike or not!

I dont think this is gonna be the same as The Bath And West Showground, but its still gonna be all us trials riders camping in a group and having a whale of a time!!!!
