What Do You Lot Think Of The Glass Eye Dvd?
haydon_peter replied to B.E.A.U's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Nick has worked stupidly hard to make this happen and has been filming for like 2 years. Judging from the thank yous in the credits most of the filming was done on Nicks Camera(s) with additional DV footage from Jack Meek and Phil Feeney... As Jonny has said up in the last post, a large amount of the footage used in the main section was filmed using Nicks beast of a camera... -
It got cancelled the morning of the trial due to snow. The riders decided the sections were too dangerous so it got cancelled. I arrived a tiny bit late just as the first people were leaving and met John Evans who let us know it had been cancelled, I didnt even bother trying to drive up the track into the venue as the conditions were interesting to say the least...

HAHAHA Good idea Matt

Thats a good buy Whiteboy You should see the state of the WTP Thrillseaker I got off fred, it cost me £10 and a set of Cannondale Fatty R's We are talking totally ghetto, rusty frame stripped of paint, wheels that hardly spin, no brakes and bars that are thinner than, er you get me... and it weighs in at around 35lbs. It does me well for getting to work on, I dont care about leaving it outside in bad weather and if someone was to nick it they will probably crash into something and kill themselves!

Just booked camping for me and Nicky G The peppl site said something about not being able to guarantee posting to outside of France so Im guessing I just print out the e-mails I got sent and take them along with me...

A few years back I ran Air B latex tubes front and rear on the 26", they saved a shit load of weight! I think they weighed about 90g per tube. They werent too bad for pinch flats but when they died they went with style! They would always pinch/split so badly they were not repairable. One time I managed a 13" long split in one and I swear I didnt hit it that hard

Are you sure there isnt 'banter' between rugby fans aswell, I think there is banter between fans with most team sports...

http://www.thecollectivefilm.com/ Watch the trailer for ROAM on that site and you will see what this hype is about. Also watch the trailer for The Collective while your at it, if you like the collective go and buy it, its the best filmed and edited mtb DVD I have ever seen, I am expecting ROAM to be just as good if not even better! Video is mainly freeride, we are talking single track, downhill, dirt jumping, northshore, crazy hucks etc... with a Ryan Leech section thrown in for good measure. The Ryan Leech section in The Collective is awsome!

Watched it one and a half times now... I would have watched it 2 times but its sooooo loooong and the second time around I made it half way through before deciding to go to bed cos I was so knackered 50mins of main video. 40 mins of extras (most of this is edited aswell howver there is a section of clips with no music) Lots of video for your money and its been well worth the wait! Its put together to a high standard as you would expect. The only let down is the very basic menu system but it works so its not a major problem. Nick is giving Phil the copies tomorrow at the nationals, from what Phil has said a few posts back it doesnt sound like people will have to wait much longer

Ordered my ticket Im sat with Rich, it was stupidly easy to order Jonny, just phone them up and do it. If you have no friends just say "If possible could I book next to Haydon and Pearson, they should be somewhere in the middle, I think its row F"

That could save me if its cool with everyone involved. If it helps out (and insurance allows) I would be happy to share the driving with someone. My car is available if needed aswell...
-

People are asuming its gonna be Ti like the other frames, however I have also heard others say its going to be Alu. I would just wait until the final thing is built up...
-
Its not BMX spacing. Fred will at some point be ditching the Curtis and replacing it with something that has mtb spaced dropouts...
-
And its had loads of problems over the last couple of years
-
I think they do, its just they dont make trials stuff anymore because Gas Gas stopped funding Megamo...

--> QUOTE(danny B @ Mar 4 2006, 11:10 AM) ←the ymsa hasn't been sorted out shite this is just the first comp and a lot of things have been difficult changing over the club, memberships are sorted ojn the day and entries are a tenner yes, but hurry up and get them in because of the limited entry of 60 i think my dad is away this weekend so i will have to do the replyin for the moment even though i ain't that involved with the club hope i have helped.danny You cant expect us to play a guessing game. Is there a cost to become a member? Last year it was £10 membership, but this year only the cost to enter the trial has been confirmed and so far all we know is that membership is sorted out on the day of the trial. Last year it was cool to pay with cash on the day, this year we get charged extra to do so. I dont see how paying in advance is saving on paperwork, I would personally think its easier to only accept entries in advance then only give a rider their punch card once they have given you their money on the day. You now have to worry about who has paid in advance, who hasnt paid in advance as well as sorting out the membership. I know it has all changed but last year this was all made clear well in advance...
