  1. Could be a dodgey power supply... I installed a new graphics card then about 1 month later my system crashed and wouldnt boot into Windows. I thought it was a dodgey HDD so warrantied it but then the new HDD dies with a few weeks. I was advised it was probably a dodgey power supply so I changed the PSU and used a HDD checking program off the drive manufacturers website to fix some data errors. I havent had any HDD problems since (Touch wood). The new graphics card I installed must have been putting too much strain on the hunk of shit PSU I used to run I am never ever going to skimp and use a shitty power supply again!

I am there from the 20th through to the 28th all expenses paid through work! I will be working on the RAC stand for all but the last 2 days of the show so if you see me make sure you say hi! I will definitely be taking my camera so hopefully I will return with some interesting pictures...

  5. Also dont forget to master track stands! Track standing is the most important skill you will ever master on a bike! It will help you with any low speed moves in any type of cycling!
  6. I may well be up for coming along for the day, I am not sure if I can manage the evening aswell though. I will let you know ASAP Andy, also just to warn you I might be a little hung over from the work BBQ that is happening tomorrow night
  7. Are you sure it hasnt just gone around the clock? (Or been clocked)
  8. Thanks for that comment Andy. The few times I have spoken to you and asked how you were getting on you said you would let me know when you needed help. Maybe if you had communicated and got back to me and said that you were getting to the stage where you needed this help I would have been there?!
  9. Thirded, I felt a bit special yesterday morning! I was woken up at about 8am yesterday and told to get ready asap to go to the beach. Luckily I didnt have to drive but we did have to make 2 pit stops so I could projectile vomit

  13. Cheers Danny. So I now have the encoder again, but Audiograbber still wont recognise there is a CD in the drive. The CD is recognised within My Computer when a disc is in the drive, the CD also plays in Winamp. Its just Audiograbber is being awkward and not recognising the CD I give up for tonight...
  14. I have used a program called Audiograbber ever since I started ripping CD's to MP3. Sadly it has now decided to shit the bed and it stopped recognising any CD I put in my drive. I downloaded the latest version from download.com but I now am not able to download the lame.dll encoder which would allow me to RIP the CD at an acceptable bit rate (I always RIP at 192kbit if anyone cared) So, what methods do you use to convirt you CD's into MP3's? I preferabley want a free program that I can download and rely on, it has to be capable of ripping at higher qualities and preferabley with an option to get song details of of CDDB so I dont have to feck around typing track names etc... into the program. I will be using this program to RIP CD's that I have purchased into mp3 files for personal use, these files will be listened to on my PC and will be burnt onto mp3 discs which I play in my car, so before anyone suggests it this is not illegal

    Help

Profile are an awsome company I totally knackered my ratchet after a year and they sorted me out. It worked out to be about £37 for a new hub shell and ratchet with all my old internals with next day delivery up to Tarty to get built up. If the hub has been ridden for even a couple of months its unlikely Profile will be able to remove the knackered ratchet from the hub. I should imagine the force put through the hub by trials gets the ratchet done up stupidly tight as well! If people want pictures of my knackered ratchet I can post some, but it really isnt that interesting
  18. If you dont already have 'The Shape of Punk to Come' album by Refused go and buy it now! You will not be disapointed www.myspace.com/refused
  19. Basically there is just thousands of different people all sat/stood around chilling out waiting for the sun to rise. There are young people, old people, families, hippies, stoners, complete wasters, pikeys, druids etc... A lot of people were just socailising with mates drinking, some people were totally off their faces (You could smell Canabis it in the air and some people were blatantly tripping on other things ), you then had druids doing their religious stuff, people using pois, playing drums etc... etc... Its free to get in and people are allowed to walk around the stones (I touched one HAHA), usually you have to pay and the stones are fenced off so you cant get any closer than a good 20-30m away. Its really not too easy to explain, I was expecting it to be totally different, It was deffinately a worthwhile experience! If you google image search 'Summer Solstice' you can find some sites with galleries from previous years
  20. I stupidly didnt take my camera but other people did, if I get sent any decent shots I might post them
  21. I just got back from the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge. Did anyone else go this year? Or previous years? What did you think? I went with a few mates, one of their mum's and two Australian girls that are currently staying with a mate. This was my first Solstice, I have lived in Salisbury for most of my life and felt it was something I needed to do at least once. It rained, I got soaked, it was cloudy so we couldnt see the sun rise, oh and I wore a bin bag as a waterproof. I think I will go to another Solstice, but maybe when the weather forecast is clear. I have work 9-5 today and havent slept since 8:30 yesterday morning! However I know that if I go to bed now I will wake up feeling like absolute shite in a couple of hours so I am not going to bed and am going to catch up on some TV I have recorded...
  22. Its good to see you have a bike again Dave, just make sure you keep it this time
  23. Please, just post some pictures of the back of the headunit along with the lead you have bought...
