  1. Installation Guide Follow the above guide step by step and see if it rubs then... Maybe your mate just boshed it on and didnt set it up properly?
  2. Chris' Naim hi-fi sounds amazing, dam staff discount Get me a job at Naim Chris As Kris said above those CD units have a slide door that you have to pull open, also there is a removeable magnetic puck that holds the CD in place. For any Naim audio questions I am sure that Chris the Naim audio lab rat can answer, he is such a geek
  3. Nah thats cool, I had enough money saved to buy my Marin outright straight away, it just made things easier paying it off slowly! The option was given to me by the lbs, I decided it would be rude not to take advantage of it
  4. f**king roadie scum, Chris wears Lycra and rides with SPD's, everyone point and laugh I spose at least you dont ride SPD's when you are dirt roadying!
  5. Me, me, me, me, me Lets do a big Afan trials-forum ride? Last to the top of the first killer climb on the Penhyd Trail buys the first round? Oli, you should come out with me and Chris more often!
  6. Maybe ask in your lbs about finance? The only reason I could afford to spend £1000 on an XC bike is because my lbs have a 0% interest finance option available through Black Horse Finance £500 deposit, then £82.50 a month for 6 months, job done, I now own my Marin Also remember that whatever bike you get in that price range you will probably end up wanting to make a few upgrades. I changed the pedals to V12's before the bike even left the shop, I then made gradual upgrades. I changed the bars to EA70's, replaced the big ring with a Blackspire Lexan 34t Bash, upgraded the hubs to Hope Bulb rear and Hope XC front. Oh and the grips you get on pre built bikes are usually shite...
  7. I went to Haldon the other weekend and personally didnt find it rubbish! When was the last time you went there? Admitedly its a bit limited but there are some really nice trails that you can easily ride over and over again! The XC route is only 6km long so you could do that a good few times in the day if you didnt get distracted by some of the more interesting 'black runs' Where else do you recomend in that area then Matt?
  8. I have a Marin Rocky Ridge and I love it! I know its out of your price range but have a look at the Northside Trail and B-17 that are part of the same 'Trail Hardtail' range. They are built around the same frame. Link to the range
  9. This is one of the reasons why I ditched front freewheel! I lost count of how many trousers I ripped in my freewheel before I changed to a Profile hub.
  10. Cheers for posting more pics but I also hate you because: oh my god I WANT TO GO THERE NOW BUT ITS HUNDREDS OF MILES AWAY What happened to Mink's Orange Crush hardtail? Im off to Haldon again on Sunday, Scotland looks miles better but Haldon is only a 2 hour drive, it better not rain on Sunday!
  11. When are tartybikes going to start supplying the UK trials scene with high quality angle grinders and spares?
  12. Loved it! I really liked the ending and I always enjoy a good bails section!
  13. It stays in Mongolia and is auctioned off to raise more charity money...
  14. This man knows the score I am currently Twentyoneteen or twenteenplusone
  15. Matt, my mate found out about this the other day. I was stood next to him when he phoned up, it was 10p + booking fee for a car park pass They take payment details and ask for your car registration... This was on Friday, you might still have time to sort it out?
  16. XC = With disc mounts Mono = Without disc mounts The bearings and internals are the same on both hubs though.
  17. 21, I feel really old when I look at that poll

  19. Ah, Backyard Jam 2005 in Brighton *Memories* I stayed out til 3am then woke up at 8am for the drive to Brighton, I was blatantly over the limit and I dont actually know how I pulled it off :$ I planned to meet Dave and Oli but the fools couldnt direct me to their house to pick them up, they arrived late and couldnt sit anywhere near me. I was sat with TomC, Swindon Stuart and a few others, I was absolutely hanging all day and just sat there spaced out amazed by all the crazy shit going down! OBM also f**ked up and couldnt sit anywhere near us, then he left early and I had to drive me, Dave and Oli accross Brighton to meet him in a random car park for 20 minutes before he got picked up. I gave Dave and Oli a lift back to their house then somehow got home with some pro half asleep driving. Also dont forget Backyard 2004 in Derby *More memories* Stayed at Andy Hills for the weekend, went out to the Loughborough Student Union on the Friday and then out again on the Saturday night. On the Morning of Backyard I was still drunk so Andy refused to let me drive so drove my car for me. Met up with TomC and Jon Fisher and again sat watching all the crazy riding while recovering from the night before. Im not sure if I will make it to Backyard 2006, Sheffield is a fecking long way! Mark, maybe I could sort something out if you needed a lift, splitting the travel costs might make it possible for me to go...
  20. Wethepeople complete. If you budget can stretch to £400ish get the four seasons.
  21. If I had enough money right now I wouldnt buy that car. Infact I wouldnt buy any car, I would be no where near the UK and would be travelling
  22. I got this email aswell but cant help either... I read it as Tim and Danny are stuck on the boarder between Poland and Lithuania?
  23. I have met Prawn a fair few times now! Many riding trips and a couple of drunken nights out. Prawn is a friendly crustacean
