Check out the hardtail range Marin have to offer I have the 2006 Rocky Ridge and love it! I know its out of your price range at £995 (for the '07 version, maybe you could get a real good deal on the '06 model if you shop around?) but the lower priced offerings in that range are impressive for the money aswell...

Ever thought about Top Gear? Its the most popular car show in the UK but they just do random stuff! Where are the articles about new road laws, car safety etc... there has recently been a big change to child seat laws, but do they show that? I used to buy MBUK all the time, I have a massive pile of them in the cupboard (Every month from May 2000 through untill June 2004, plus a few newer ones aswell) that I cant bring myself to throw away, they are doing nothing and never get looked at but I just dont want to throw them away for some reason. MBUK was one of the reasons I got into trials, yes there was the people I used to see bouncing on their back wheels in town, but MBUK was my main influence! I respect the time and effort put into the magazine and would still buy it every month but I dont simply due to not finding/making the time to read it. I still buy it every so often and most months pop into Smiths to have browse through but it doesnt have the appeal it used to...

I noticed your from Poole. The closest club to you will be Hampshire. Common venues for Hampshire trials are at Swanage near Corfe Castle, Bransgore near Ringwood, Hut Hill near Southampton and there are a few venues near Petersfield. Give Terry Graves a ring, his contact details are on the biketrialuk website. Terry is really helpful and is always glad for new members, the next Hampshire trial is at Bransgore near Ringwood on the 5th Novermber, its one of the better venues Hampshire run competitions at...

BUMP Sorry for this bump but I saw no point in starting a new thread. Firstly, how are you getting on with the Sony player Paul? There is abslutely no way I am getting Sony but Im interested how your finding it anyway. Main reason for my bump is Im seriously looking at the Archos Gmini XS202S. Its only £116, has a long battery life and works as an external HDD when transfering music! There are a few reviews on amazon complaining about the player freezing but generally people are giving good reviews, Im really just wanting to know if anyone on here has any experience with this player?

What 4 Months In A Plaster Cast, Does To Your Leg
haydon_peter replied to Lee Cable's topic in Chit Chat
How about swimming? Maybe once your able to put weight on your left leg you should start some 'proper' cycling, get a road bike or maybe do some XC. -

Dont forget about JBL John, they are made by the same company as Infinity and offer some really nice speakers for the price tags. Dont even look at speakers that have Sony written on them, if you dont believe me just go and listen to some Sony speakers in Halfords then compare them to the other speakers on display...

Me, Prawn, Pierre, Bigman, Oli and Steve got to Temple Meads at about 2pm after travelling from Porthcawl, we decided £7.50 x3 cars to park for just a couple of hours riding was too much and left. I got the train back to Salisbury and the others are currently in the Plymouth area going to a house warming party and sampling the 75 pints of Prawns home brewed beer...

HAHA you git! Those pods are gonna rule when we are finished, shame they arent gonna be in my car

Wheres the complaining? Im just saying I dont think Salisbury is all that good a location for a larger group ride and that it doesnt look like I will be attending...

Smallsbury will be shit for a group ride! I doubt I will be riding trials on Sunday, my XC bike is calling me...

Yes they do. The simulators are based on a Vauxhall Corsa and as far as I know there is one in every BSM shop in the country. They had one of the on the RAC stand I was working on at the motor show and I had a few goes in it. It is absolutely nothing like driving a real car! There is no bite point on the clutch, the pedals have no feel to them, the steering is just like a playstaion game and you obviously get none of the sensations or road feedback like in a moving car. Its a good way to learn the basics, like how to pull away, change gear etc...

I wont be anywhere near a PC. I just dont want to be travelling and run out of battery leaving me stuck with no music. I would probably be ok with 20 hours battery life, I am just being paranoid because I dont know how often I will have access to a socket to charge up the battery. If that Sony software requires me to convert the MP3 into a duplicate ATRAC format its not an option, I just want to drag and drop everything on to the player sorted into the folders I already within the My Music folder on this PC...

Which one did you get Paul? Im currently on the look out for a 20-30gb mp3 player. Having a colour screen with photos and video is not needed. I dont really want to have to use software (especially Sonic Stage, I have to use it for a minidisc player and its terrible) so ideally want it to work as a removable hard drive. I also want long battery life, the option to run the player off AA batteries when I dont have access to a power socket would be an added bonus! Sorry to thread steal but can anyone help?
