Had a similar one at my work in June 2005. We got an email in the morning advising us that there had been an incident in the post room and that we must all stay on our floors and no one was allowed to leave or enter the building. The carpark had been closed off and there were loads of police and firemen all over the place. Someone in the post room had opened a letter containing white powder, the post room just treated it as an anthrax attack. When the emergency services arrived the carpark got turned into a chemical wash down and everyone in the post room had to strip down and have a chemical shower in the carpark. The people that came into closest contact with the package were rushed to hospital. After this incident I was informed that there had been a few other 'attacks' on my company, the first attacks were at a point when we were owned by an american company called Equifax, so at a guess someone out there has an issue with them but didnt reallise we are no longer owned by them! All I know is that everyone was safe and that the powder was tested to be harmless. It was an interesting day at work anyway BBC Link

Monitor arrived today, its huge. Couldnt get it to work at first, for some reason the monitor wont work via DVI but works with the analogue input. If its plugged in via DVI I get an Asus screen and can view the bios but it wont boot into windows. Its got to be a graphics card problem and the monitor does work via analogue so for now I am just gonna leave it, I doubt using DVI would make any noticable differene anyway.

An update for you all. I upped the budget to £200 and chose Samsung. I was undecided between just getting a 'Normal' 19" or spending £10 extra for a 20" Widescreen but in the end ordered this. I am unsure how I will get on with widescreen but should get used to it.

yeah I remember that. I was the one that had to pick up the bin to avoid getting beat to the floor by them, I was the only one who didnt get away cos I was at the back of the group

HAHA Yeah, I thought that nutter was gonna kill one of us, they shouldnt allow wankers like that on the road! Another car incident while riding years ago; Sainsbury's multi-story car park in Salisbury, its raining so we are messing about under cover. While riding we were having a laugh about all the rude boys in their 'done up' cars. This Scooby enters the car park and decides to show off by racing down the length of carpark, he somehow managed to loose the back end and nearly crashed into one of the supporting pillars of the car park. He swiftly left the car park

Just tried to order a monitor. I dont have enough money in my current account so mum leant me her credit card, first of all I had issues using her card with my name, after sorting this out I get told the earliest delivery is Tuesday So I am gonna use my dads laptop or borrow a monitor off someone else for the time being, keep suggesting stuff people

It was all good though. So what if it flickered from time to time, made an annoying high pitched whine at times and went a funny pink tint every so often, at least I could still see the display, now its just black and useless HAHAHA

Heres the story, Im sat at my PC surfing the internet listening to some ¡Forward, Russia! when all of a sudden my monitor goes black and dies See this topic. I originally posted asking for help on August 25th 2005 when my monitor originally started playing up, I have been a skank and never bought a new one then today it finally shit the bed and died Currently Im liking the look of this cos its got a nice spec and is cheap, only problem is its on scam.co.uk who I dont wish to give my money unless I have to because they are wankers. Am after either a 17" or a 19", would also consider widescreen although I cant see any advantage to widescreen? Work you magic trials-forum, advise a TFT monitor for me. I would prefer it if the monitor costs approx £150 maximum.

Yes you have, it should be a great day! I have wanted to try rock climbing for ages but have only just got around to sorting it! For others interested in starting try using the climbing directory on http://www.ukclimbing.com/ The above climbing directory was how I found out about the course we are booked to do at http://www.calshot.com/. We are doing a days introductory course with lunch for £65 a person (Works out to be about 6 hours in length). I phoned up and asked a few questions and once you have done this course you should know enough about knots, rope work etc... to become a member and go to any open sessions. Im looking forward to it! Am I going to cause pain to muscles I didnt even know existed? I will let you all know how I get on...

Buthiers where the event is held is massive and and there are rocks everywhere, all you have to do is sort camping out and you will be in rock heaven! You dont have to do the competition...

Tomy AFX is much more fun that Scalectrix! The cars are MUCH faster! I remember I had to put pillows against my bedroom wall just after the long straight so the cars didnt get totalled against the wall if they flew off the track!

At Hyde Park? My sister went to that gig and said the same thing! She said the Chillis were good but no where near as impressive as James Brown bopping all over the place!

*Ahem* Now when was it I purchased my Megamo? -
Does it make any difference if you go to the website using the direct IP instead of the URL?

You will only need a V62 from the post office if a vehcle you buy doesnt have a V5 log book. The V5 logbook has nothing to do with whether you can drive abroad or not, its the registration document DVLA issue to you when you become the registered keeper of the vehicle. Basically, when you look at buying any vehicle there should be a V5 document for it, if there isnt it can get complicated. When you drive in europe its a good idea to take a copy of the V5 log book with you just incase you get stopped, this is also where you will need proof of valid insurance and your driving licence. A full UK driving licence should be fine to drive in France, although im not sure on the age limitations or the length of time you have to have held a full licence for. I really think you are wasting your time buying a van just for koxx days, all you need is a car and a tent, hell if there is only 2 people you dont even need a tent and could sleep in the car

NTL and AOL are both nightmares. At work I am regularly getting people complaining they cant access our website, usually its just because they are using the heap of shit AOL browser but every few months we get a large number of NTL users calling in complaining the site is down. NTL seem to have loads of DNS issues. JTM, see if flushing the local DNS on your machine makes a difference: How to flush the local DNS Not that this will solve the problem but you can do a tracert in DOS to find out where the request is failing. In DOS the command for this is: tracert www.mx5nutz.com
