  2. How many second chances should a person be given?
  3. So far it seems to upload <20kb/sec however I have noticed it briefly peak at around 60kb/sec. This is not really great because I am currently uploading about 700mb of photos from a recent snowboarding trip... To be fair though its probably my ISP being twats
  4. Is it normal for the upload speed to be stupidly slow?
  5. How much storage do I get with the drop box by clicking your referral link?
  6. If you had done it before the release I think you might have had a better chance of getting people along to watch. Also there was already a screening of Life Cycles not far away at a cinema in Southampton
  7. I used the search and couldn't find anything posted EDIT, BAH re-searched and found it now, delete and close other topic Mark
  8. Profile are now doing 204 point engagement hubs...
  9. I'm sure you will need to remove the tapered split ring before removing the forks. I don't think I have ever had to use much force when removing a set of forks! If a hammer is required I would advice you place a bit of wood on the steerer to protect it then hit the wood rather than directly hitting the steerer!
  10. Thank you for introducing me to such an amazing artist!
  11. Sam Pilgrim has signed a 2 year deal with NS Bikes... http://dirt.mpora.com/news/sam-pilgrim-signs-ns-bikes.html
  12. I guess the good thing is at least you know for sure now...
  13. Really impressive stuff Ben! If you want to be REALLY critical about the riding I did notice the odd unnecessary hop (17 seconds, 27 seconds and 1 minute. Think Ryan Leech and Manifesto haha) and its a shame you didn't quite nose roll all the way to the curb at ~40 seconds where you had to do some extra front hops to complete the line. I liked the chilled out music and basic editing
  14. http://www.dogtag.co.uk/ I have used dogtag 4 times now, both for snowboarding and DH Mountain Biking. Here is the list of sports they cover (Certain sports require you to pay a higher premium and get 'Sport Plus' or 'Extreme' cover) I have never had to make a claim through them but have read positive stuff online from people that have. A friend has used http://www.snowcard.co.uk/ and has had to claim after breaking his finger riding DH in the Alps, he had no problems claiming and was very happy with their service.
  15. Mark, don't forget to take in cakes for the Tarty Bikes employees when you are back in work, supplying cakes for everyone when its your birthday is standard rules within any work place Oh, and while I'm here... Happy Birthday Mark, don't drink too much Whiskey!

    2010

2010 was pretty good. Got new job which is better pay, I get more holiday and don't have to work at the weekends. Went snowboarding for the first time ever, going again in a couple of weeks. Discovered an amazing place to ride my mountain bike 15 miles away from my house, made new friends through riding there and am now fairly involved with the project digging new DH trails etc... Went to Morzine DHing for 2 weeks in the summer, got to catch up and ride with Tomm and met Tomturd for beers (Yes he is actually real!). Plan for 2011: Ride and dig loads. Enter a few DH races. Do an MTB Leader Course and get a first aid qualification. Start climbing again after waiting over a year for a finger injury to heal. Get a BMX, ride some trails, don't break myself. Maybe go snowboarding for a second week in Feb/March. Go to Morzine DHing again this summer. Save money and see where I end up.
  17. But once you make it to a certain point wouldn't gravity start sending you back the other way? Would you just get stuck in 'the middle' with gravity holding you there?
  18. I believe the system is slightly different but basically yes. On a road bike the levers are mounted vertically on drop road bars and you use the bike on smooth surfaces. On a mountain bike the levers are mounted horizontally which I think would increase the risk of accidental shifting but the main concern I have is that the bike will be used on rough uneven terrain. I don't like the thought of accidentally shifting while braking over some rough terrain coming into a corner.
  19. There is a reason they are so cheap... With that system you use the brake lever to brake as well as shift gear. Not many mountain bikers like the idea of the system
  20. I was going to reply to the badly spelt douche insult but I cannot add anything else to what JD and Mike have just said
