Yes I plan to be there! Other people as far as I know are Prawn, Andy P, Pierre and YOU. I expect Jardo is working? It will be good to see you again

Make sure you're insurance policy covers a Cat C vehicle, I wouldn't want any small print to screw you over when if you hit another curb while you're driving like a chav.

Mine is a 2004 53 plate facelift 1.8T Cupra. Air con, full electric leather, cruise control, electric folding tear drop mirrors, clean body work and had 96000 miles on the clock when I bought it. After some shit haggling I got it for £2550 and the guy let me have brand new front and rear discs/pads to fit at a later date because the MOT had an advisory saying the brakes are starting to show signs of wear. It was due a service and has since had approx £150 of engine sensors fail but I'm still amazed at how much car I got for the money! I was lucky to find a car that was only 40 minutes drive from me and 5 minutes from Mr Prawn the 1.8T encyclopaedia The photo Prawn posted on the last page is a still from this video:

Prawn already said but I will answer... There is no point in having a car if I'm in a different country, I really like this car though so will be sad whenever it goes! Tonight I fitted the new MAF, seeing as I was changing the MAF i chucked a new air filter in as well. When I started the car the Traction Control Light was still jammed on but after restarting the engine the light disappeared and the car felt great during a quick hoon around the ring road. I had to go on an XC ride but I have nothing planned tomorrow night so will take it for a longer drive and give it a proper test, I doubt it will happen but fingers crossed for no more warning lights! I'm looking forward to the Forge Action day at Castle Combe on Saturday, I think Mr Seamons should come along (Although it is a fecking long drive for him!)

Plus some (like mine) have cruise control. When I was looking I also saw one for sale with built in sat nav. Now we can end your education of every option on the Leon Cupra's I'm still resisting getting a stage 1 map, it seems pointless when I will probably be selling the car in 8 months
-
Note - Some of the facelifts have tear drop mirrors, others have square ones (shown in above photos)
-
Not a Mk2, you want a Facelift Mk1. It's personal preference really, there are still people out there that like Pre-Facelift Mk1's but I'm with Prawn on this one, Facelift Mk1 Leon's look much nicer
-
Prawn was certain it will be different. Even though the warning lights have turned themselves off I will still fit a new MAF.
-
George - Prawn scanned my car and the warning lights were MAF related, thanks anyway but your one won't fit. When I started the car last night the engine management light wasn't lit and it has not come on again after 160 miles. Last night I went to Ace Cafe in London with Prawn for VAG night. There were some very nice cars there (The pick of the bunch was probably the mental Corado!) but I just didn't understand why people thought it was appropriate to use the public road outside as a drag strip. There were also some uber c**ts on motorbikes doing wheelies and stoppies, one of them clipped a BMW and shortly after another had to bin his bike to avoid going into a car. It wouldn't have been too bad if the bikers had behaved themselves but last night was a bit too chav for my liking
-
George - Yeah a quick search suggests it is likely to be the MAF, I will let you know
-
If it makes you feel better I also have fails on my Leon. The traction control light jammed on yesterday then the engine management light came on. Now the traction control system turns on and off as normal but I still have an engine management light. Stupid cars

Do you have a fan on your graphics card? I replaced mine with a heatsink which made everything much quieter (http://www.overclock...2330&subcat=787) Case fans - Sharkoon Silent Eagle This case fan review might be old now but it is very detailed - http://www.bit-tech....best-case-fan/1

Chav I thought you were not getting another car for a while?
-
I don't get why people find this so hard to understand... EVERY INSURANCE COMPANY WILL BE DIFFERENT.

That's not spam, it's car porn!

At least I can hide the baldness by wearing a hat, you will always look like a fanny :wink2: For being so rude about my hair loss you will be helping me clean my car to a very shiny standard when I see you in a few weeks
-
Oh wait, I drive a 1.8t
-
OK I have decided, all 1.8t drivers are chavs
-
I don't really class it as chavvy though, it was fast before the mods, it's not just some shit car with large wheels and a loud exhaust Not sure exactly what work was done yet, will find out when I get the invoice through the post. They said it was just a boring service with no problems and would be no more than £120 so it's likely to be just be oil and filters that I could have done myself if I could be arsed to do it and had some way of getting the car off the road. It's also nice to have given the car to a garage that I trust and get another stamp in the service history
-
Jardo, just be happy that George has finally got a respectable car and hasn't totally chavved it up Car thread update from me - Got the Leon serviced yesterday, it feels so much smoother to drive, this makes me happy.
