Ash clearly states he wants a fast rolling tyre to use around trail centres so why are posting links to 2.5" DH Tyres?

I know, 29ers are so last year, it's all about 650b now

Come on guys, I thought everyone knew that you have to have a 29er to ride XC?!! That's what all the bike shops are saying anyway

If you haven't already, change the rear to a 10mm Superstar QR as well, it makes the Meta 5 much stiffer! -

The BBC article I posted earlier has been updated and now includes a video of Oprah confirming that he admitted that he used performing enhancing drugs while she was interviewing him. Either way I think the guy is a legend. I have seen what cancer does to people and lost a very good friend to the disease not that long ago (many of you on here knew him as well). Lance beat it and got back on a bike racing competitively at an international level, even with the use of banned substances I think it's amazing.

Lance Armstrong has apparently admitted to doping in an Oprah interview that is going to be televised on Thursday... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-21024288

They are only good if they fit you. Go to a shop and try on boots before you buy, having sore feet will wreck your holiday. EDIT: Tomm beat me to it

IMPACT SHORTS! I killed my Coccyx on my second trip away and it hurt to sit down/stand up for a good 6 months after, I still occasionally have problems after over 2 years! For my last 2 trips I have used the Demon Flex Force impact shorts and they have been an arse saver! You will spend a lot of time sat down at the side of the slopes and on cold lifts, they help keep you warmer and they will save you when you lose an edge on ice or f**k up on a box in the snow park like I did this year haha! Helmet is a must, I learnt on my first trip that hitting your head is not fun. Your goggles will also stay clearer when used with a helmet and you won't lose them in a crash and end up with useless goggles that are full of snow. Goggles are also important, especially in bad weather or when riding powder and having it fly up in your face, I just use Oakley O-Frame MX goggles with a dual layer persimmon lens and have experienced no serious problems. They fogged up frequently when wearing a beanie but since getting a helmet they have been fine. I can just change to a clear lens and use the goggles for DH in the summer so the frames are multi use. I just got back from a week away and agree with Tomm that it is getting COLD over in the Alps. -11 with even colder wind chill was not much fun although the powder on the last couple of days made me forget how cold it was getting

If you want to get a Canadian working holiday visa for 2013 you will have to start applying NOW. Last year there were only 5350 visa's available, application was opened in December and they were all gone by May. Lots of people reported a 2-3 months wait for their application to be processed and accepted. This years applications have not opened yet but are meant to open very soon (there was a big change to the Irish visa's this year and there are rumours of changes to the UK visa's as well although nothing has yet been officially announced). As part of the application you need a UK Police check which will can take 2 weeks to process so if you are seriously wanting to do it this year get the police check forms sent off ASAP so you can do the visa application early. I'm at work right now and am leaving tonight to go snowboarding for a week so won't have time to offer much more help but the links below will be helpful. http://www.moving2canada.com/planning/working-holiday-visa-in-canada/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/2213183700/

He went there on a working holiday visa over 3 years ago and is now living out there on some sort of relationship visa. He had been in a relationship with the girl while she was over in the UK before he went out there to live with her. To get to where he is now took a lot of research and paperwork but he did not have to get married.

Not with Australia, a friend has been out there for a few years with his long term Australian girlfriend and there are ways for him to stay without having to get married.

I can't believe you actually think someone can just buy their way in to Canada with £6250? Canada is an absolute b*****d just to get a 1 year working visa for. Last year Canada only gave out 5350 1 year work visa's to UK applicants, they were all taken by May and everyone else now has to wait until next years applications open in January. You have to be aged 18-30, the application requires a UK police check (plus additional police checks if you have been living long enough in other countries) and a load of visa forms that you have to send to the Canadian Embassy. It then takes weeks for them to process the application, once they are happy you have to pay them the visa fee and eventually they grant you a 1 year working visa. Last year lots of people had to wait a good 3 months for the application to be processed. At the point of entering Canada to activate the visa you have to show evidence of £1600 minimum savings to support you. If you want to go to Australia on 1-2 year work visa it apparently takes about 30 minutes over the internet and the visa gets electronically attached to your passport.

The battle scars are indeed kinda cool but it will look even better when the bodywork is done! Prawn has spent a lot of money and time getting this done so he may as well finish the job properly and get the car back to its former glory
