Basically what your after is an all round workout. ie. one that covers all areas of the body, with both cardio and weights work. If you spend to much time focusing on one area of the body others will not get enough work. Pretty much common sense. Calves will get worked on most machines where you use all of your legs, ie bike, treadmill, cross-trainer or leg press/squats. Your best bet with weights is to go towards toning/endurance work. ie. keeping your weights low and doing plenty of reps. eg. 15-20reps of 3-5sets To lose your tub, you will need to do a mixture of cardio and stomach toning exercises. If your gym runs an Abs class, go. It will give you loads of ideas. In my gym, I used to do one for 30mins, just on abs! A different instructor took the class everyday of the week. Give me a shout if you need any more help.

Ymsa Vs Tykes , Sunday...whos Riding Where
Badboy replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Member Organised Rides
With more clubs in the country then it is getting more and more likely that events will clash. I know for a fact that Dave Butler has re-arranged some of his comps so they dont clash with the Brits. If there is a southern trial and a northern trial at the same time then its not such a big problem, you go to the closer one or where ever you want to ride. It has happened in the past, I remember riding an Essex trial at the same time there was a trial up north (dont ask where, all I know is I was at one and Dan Butler was at the other) This was a few years back. Yes I fully agree that the calendar needs some work at the start of the year, but what also doesnt help is that comps are being added after all the main dates are set out. You are bound to get clashes then. I was at the YMSA comp yesterday, observing, and everyone there had a great time and a good laugh. No-one was stressed, it was a very chilled day out. Ash Butler was walking round with an Ice-Pop after each lap!!!! Well done to Dave for all his hard work for the club this year, so far. -
Never heard it before thats why I posted it! Cheers for ruining my day!!! (joking) consider my cornflakes well an truely pissed in!!!

Liking the pics and site. The sections were designed for a dry trial, an it rained nearly all weekend! (as you can see by the state of Dans ass in pic no77 (yellow t-shirt) )

All results are now up on Euro Biketrial site as well as a gallery

I would just like to be the first to congratulate Danny Butler and Lois Morgan for both soundly thrashing all competition to become European Champions in their respective classes. Well done to all British riders riders who took part as well.

Ok Some of the results I posted up earlier are wrong (scores that is) :$ A full list of results is on Roger Keller's website Just go to the "resultate" link on the left hand side. Penalty points are given for going over the time limit for the trial. And it is done .5 for every min over (so 1 point for every 2mins)

Best pic IMO is the one where it looks like Hans is kicking Kenny off the rocks! Probly couldnt have timed it better, looks really natural whereas the others look really staged.

Hi guys Sorry for not posting last night, was gone midnight when we finally got home! Dan unfortunately didnt make the final, but finished up in 10th place (3marks away from making the final!) The sections were 4 of the qualifiers run in reverse, with 2 new sections as well. Yet more rain made the scores again very high, and the sections very difficult. The top eight to make the final were: Vincent Hermance (Koxx) Kenny Bealey (Koxx) Thomas Ohler (Koxx) Marc Caisso (Atomz) Kenny Le Courre (Koxx) Aurelian Fontenoy (MBK) (i know i have spelt the surname wrong) Tibo Vellieut (Vario) Another French Koxx rider whos name I have forgot! The final was two laps of 4 sections (4 totally new ones this time) as is customary for UCI. Only 4 riders got through any of the finals sections!! They were extremely hard sections. The finishing places were: 1st Kenny Bealey 31 (40 is the max score possible for 8 sections) 2nd Vincent Hermance ? 3rd Marc Caisso 37 4th Thomas Ohler 38 then the rest were all on max! (their places being worked out by their qualification scores) Sorry I have no details on the 20", but judging by the qualification scores, Benito (and his afro ) was looking to walk it!

Dan Butler qualified first today on 21 marks, for tomorrows semi-final, halving the second place riders score. The semi-final will take place in the morning with the top 8 going through to the final in the afternoon. Hopefully the weather will hold off as today saw torrential rain making the trial a mud-bath! The sections are all natural, on rocks, banks an in a river (which rose after that much rain fell!) I'l post info on the final tomorrow evening.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Imagine if you pranged it though! the whole body would fall off, leaving a stripped down NSX with loads of fiberglass on the floor around it

First couple of pics would do well in an art project or something like that! (not saying that in a diss way, just my thoughts) F Stop Junkie is a very good cameraman, been doing it a long time. Has captured some of my facial expressions perfectly! Just a quick fave from his site is this one

That didnt look much like a Meg frame he was on at the british! more like a pashley! The tubing looked too slim. I maybe wrong (i didnt actually ask him what it was)

I've had a contract with all major networks. Vodafone have been the best to me, been with them for 4years now. My bro has his business phone with Orange, an their customer service is crap! Not heard anything good about t-mobile or O2 either

Yes, there is. It is up to the rider to make sure that they conform to the rules. But there is also a responsibility of the organiser that the rules are upheld from the start. The organiser has a lot of responibility, the rider may think that their bike is safe, but its the organiser who has the final say about it, they are the ones running the event. At the end of the day the bikes should be checked before the event. All other ACU events have this rule in place. If any footballer wants to go on the pitch with sharp studs on their boots then the ref will stop them before they go on, not tell them off at the final whistle.

Where was the pre-comp bike check? There was no scruteniering of the bikes before the comp. Should really be done at every round in my opinion. Rules are rules, yes i agree, but it should be the same for all riders, from the top down. My first world comp i had my bike checked, an i had to tape over the end of my grips, tighten wheel bearings and unstick my shifter to get it to pass. I came last but one in the comp! There was no way i was going to win, but it was the same for everyone.

Someone wasnt happy about losing!

I agree. I think the sections werent thought out very well. There is so much scope there that the "practise" sections (sections 9, 10, 1 and 2) down the bottom shouldnt need to be used in the comp (def not for red/yellow routes) I remember going to a british comp there a few years back when those sections were bule/white only. ie there were two lots of sections set out. I also noticed that the entry wasnt that big! Maybe people were put off by the high entry costs? Who knows. Well done to all those who podium'd, an good luck to everyone for round 2. I'm looking forward to Kelly Farm

Good to see her riding. Looks like she has potential as a trials rider. I am impressed by the fact that everything she goes for she tries to get to tires, not straight to bash! Credit where its due. She has skill, and dare i say it, would probly give some UK blue route riders a run for their money.
