The seat on my MTB is lightweihgt, I can't see that adding anything and I think trials bikes are composit metals so there light!

I'm new to all of this, saw some guys doing what I assume is trials near to me - think I saw it on the extreme channel too. Question: Why do you not have seats, what do you sit on when pedalling around?!
