echo team 05. yes it rides nice but to be fair I haven't ridden anything else to compare it to other than an 04 t-pro. And it rides a bit better than that. Still stocks are the best. :)

left foot foward :)

what hope hub have you got at the moment. why do you want to replace it?
-
I got one. Don't get much chance to use it though, as i'm always riding the trials bike. :- 03 Kona stinky. 05 Jrt's Race Face Diabolous bars, stem, headset. V8 pedals. Conti tyres, mavic rims and shimano hubs. hayes 8" stoppers.

Mono trial disc is probably the best but it is a bit tempremental. Played about for ages trying to set mine up, and then when i finally thought I had done it after the first ride it was rubbing again. :S Stil has a nice lever feel, and has to be the nicest looking brake out there no matter what any one says. I also like the fact that it has to bolts on the lever clamp so that you can install/remove it without taking the grip off. On the other hand I have been using a 04 Magura louise freeride on my woodstock and that is also a very nice brake. Probably more reliable than the hope and is a bit cheaper £99.99 at CRC. Which ever you choose they are both awesome. :D

yea nice vid, some big moves there. How high was that stack of blue pallets that you gapped? looked well high from one camera angle. :S Would have been really nice if you were wearing a helmet though !
-
you da man Tim. :S was a bit of a short vid though. :D"
-
yea I have the washers. I think the clamps must have been an odd shape so that they didn't grip the piston or something. (Y)
-
ok thanks Phil ! I just put the new clamps on and had a little ride. seems to have fixed it. (Y) so far so good.
-
no i didn't. do you know what he was doing or got any more info? :)
-
wow the riding in that vid was really quite good. :) Umm you seemed to have a 'love it hate it' thing going on with the second song. And I really, really hated it. :P but anyways nice vid. :P

yes me should all learn from out mistakes. (mine being that I trusted my rear brake) :P

It is a Canon. Not sure on the model but it is new out, it is a mate's. (StinkEE) (Y)

I'm running zoo pads on my mod and blue rim jams on my stock. I have to say the rim jams seem to bite better than the zoo pads. Haven't had any problems with the backing's so far though. :shifty:

yea but whilst pedaling. be sure to apply the brake when you land or you'll loop out. :P" Its just like almost all moves in trials, you will never really understand how to do it. But if you keep praticing then eventually you will eventually be able to do it. Bet you will never be able to explain it though. haha

I got the bike from select bikes a week ago. :) TEAM AFRICA woohoo

Insane vid there ! Not to keen on the background music though. :) Nice to see trials vids set in different locations around the world.

thanks for all the replies. When i landed on the wall there was a split second where I thought that i had broken my back. And you know what its like, it usually takes a few seconds for the pain to kick in, but thankfully i wasn't in too much pain. Was a bit dazed though. thanks to Stinkee (steve) for catching it on film. :)

woke up this morning and the first thing i noticed was the rather uncomfortable pain in my neck. back doesn't hurt a bit though. (N) As for the bike, it only scrached the bar ends and mashed up the cages on one of the crapy VP pedals. The reason for the brake slipping was that the brake kept coming loose every time i tried to ride the bike, even though the bolts seemed to be tight. so i think the 2 bolts on the left hand side of my frame have been cross threaded or something. I tried to remove the bolts to inspect them but they just wouldn't move. so will hopefully be sending the bike back.
-
yea i find that mod's loop out real easy, especially if the brake slips.
-
yea I am glad i didn't fall on a rail. I pulled the brake but it didn't lock beacuse as i found out later the right hand brake piston thing was loose even though the bolts were tight. I think the threads are damged in the frame or something. Manufacturers deffect I reckon. I landed on my cockix (sp) and hurt it a bit and my neck hurts. Apart from that i feel ok and very lucky that i didn't seriously injure my self. (Y)

Went out on my new echo team today and this happened. Looks worse than it really is because i got away with minor injuries. Comments welcome (Y) vid Edit By Danny: Heres a 20x smaller version of similar quality http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bike-tria...compressed_.avi

wow, I am so amazed at how far trials (and mtb in general) has come since back then. (Y) . You and your brother were very good in that vid. You must have had some strange looks/coments though from passers by as the sport was so small many people would have wondered what on earth you were doing. :'( I think that a Hans Rey frame would be nice, maybe not the best handling bike out there but a huge improvment over your previous bike. Anyway, good luck with getting back into the sport and just remember that you need lots of practice, because is does make perfect. (eventually)
