  1. He is amazing. Thats what comes from like 3 hours on the bike everyday.
  2. By the sounds of it your frame is powdercoated. It is designed to be very strong but also flexible. I would check out to see if there are any shot blasters in your area. Bob jackson cycles do it for a fairly good price. www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk Hope this helps.
  3. Are you asking if it would affect the bike if you trim the brake booster down? As long as it doesn't get trimmed to far down them i'm sure it would be fine.
  4. Spend £400 and then you will not be so sad when you break it, and you will break it.
  5. I would advise you to just buy anew one. they are a nightmare to take apart. Decathlon do a full chain 3 piece chainring set plus hollowtech 2 for £39.99
  6. If you want a good finish you have to sand between coats. Gradually using finer and finer sandpaper. Wet and dry 1500 grit is what you should end up using.
  7. Have a scan around your area and see if there are any iron mongers that could make the frames for you. Then you could buy wood and make the platform tops yourself. I think that would save you a fortune. You could also contact any local factories and see if they have any old metal frames that they don't want anymore. There are always places that are getting rid of metal in any town.
  8. Get them treated well with nitromours. That will strip the old paint off completely. Watch it though it burns! Then you can either prime, undercoat and top coat yourself or if you want something that is going to last and that has a flexible finish you could have it powdercoated. Personaly I would have it powdercoated, it doesn't cost much. Bob jackson cycles are very cheap, they quoted me £130 for a full frame in metallic finish and they also pick up and deliver back to you. Hope this helps.
  9. I came off my mountain bike last weekend and sprained both my wrists(taking some time to type this) and currently have 3 holes and a large bruise on my left leg. Great ride though.
  10. What's your budget? Tartybikes are currently doing a countdown sale on a Atomz AKT II XX. It is currently at £989. It started at £1499 and is going down by £10 a weekday until they run of them. They recently sold an Onza lime 2 frame for £129, It usually retails at £399.
  11. It's worth looking at some FSA downhill bars. they are strong as you like. I run them and they are great.
  12. Nice one, cheers lads. I will get out and try those spots.
  13. 22-18 is a great set up. that is what I run and have no trouble with it. I also ride a MAD phase 1.3. I have found nothing wrong with it.
  14. 3. Ratteling - nothing i hate more, I have found that rattles and scweaks can put you off riding the best you should be so to stop ratteling or to find out if anything is pick you bike up about a foot and drop it and if their is a lot of ratteling make sure these things are tight: Chain (again) Headset Bash plate I have also found that it is worth tightening your cranks arms, bottom bracket, pedals. Basically everything that can move or can be removed from your bike needs to be fitted correctly and tightened up. A bit of grease on your steerer tube is also a help
  15. Hey up I was wondering if any of you are from around Sheffield and would happen to know any areas to ride? I am fairly new to trials so it wouldn't need to be a park with huge dropoffs and ledges. But any ideas will of help. Thanks.

  18. i have been looking at a middleburn. That has helped me along the way thanks.
  19. I am currently looking for a decent new crank. I am using an un-branded one at the moment and it is totally rubbish. I am using a square taper BB. Can any of you please recommend a decent trials crank that is fairly light but also fairly strong? As i am new i think i will need more strength that weight saving.
  20. I went witha group of 39 last year. About 10-15 bikes were nicked whilst we were there. MOst of them from outside the clubhouse/bar
