Yeah I will have to come check them out again once the weather is nicer, I used to work in basildon about 3-4 years ago and noticed them then and rode a few times......
-
Yeah it is as sometimes it isnt about how big far or what your doing but the fun you have doing it, I know I am about to go on a mini rant but compared to when I started riding a long time ago I feel a lot of the fun has been lost and its all about how big high far etc you can go, when it used to always be more how much fun can you go out and have on your bike and always should be and always is for me wether you are messing around on a curb or going nuts over a drop gap who really cares if you enjoy it that is the main thing. the one thing I like for in a video is a smile on some ones face and them enjoying it. So to answer your question it is the same guy as it was a laugh I am guessing for him to sidehop into a truck and this is what he also enjoys doing most of the time.........

Find an old d521 ) was the best rim 9 years ago, and I havnt still broken one beyond repair to this day......
-
OK kool thanks for that advice I am just mocking up a stencil to make the dots really even as I don't want the braking to be unbalanced...
-
HI, just a quick question, anyone sprayed there rims a different colour than orginal and what would the effect be braking wise, None? would it just strip the paint eventually or make the braking worse in any way? Matt

OK cheers guys, I can get that bit sorted now, now for the goodridge hoses, yeah i think the issue is squeezing the first parts over the cable tight enough which is what I can not do, I shall try trimming filing cutting etc any other tips massively appreciated.....
-
I have bought said goodridge hose and kit designed to work together to run braided hosing. Every time I have a go at fitting it though, it just wont seal properly between the fitting kit and cable, has anyone who has fitted this got any tips or any advice of how to do it well. I am getting rather frustrated about it and just want it running so it doesnt leak.... p.s. anywhere no on the high street where i can get a spare magura bleeding syringe i.e. something the same size but not from a bike shop...

Full Bashrings Compatible With Trialtech Cranks?
Matt24. replied to LukasMcNeal's topic in Trials Chat
I am running trialtech with because, looks good, full size what your after.... -
Chainline? are your sprockets running in as much of a straight line as possible, when changing sprockets, chains etc, they tend to like to be changed as a group as they wear in together. Personally I would buy a new chain and front cog and then align it all properly use some decent oil so it all runs smoothly and you wont have problems again, make sure you maintain it though...........

Where are those shot, I have ridden there years ago but can't place where it is? I want to re-visit... Matt

I owned one many years ago, was great for bunny hopping, poor for spinning as Ali said, for £30-£40 and if your starting I'd rather use a revell, strong, if you smash it to bits or crack it re-weld it off you go, you won't get that with ali, and on the bright side you will have something not that many others have along side the typical long low bikes we see every day. With regards to starting hard and you'll be laughing later it is a true point, I started on a planet x Jackflash back in the day knifen forks and crap v's with deore hubs I had to replace once a month, how ever as soon as I picked up a true trials bike after learning ther basics on the planet x the progression was very quiick and a whole load of fun......

I think we should all wear full bubble wrap body suits and full face helmets incase we walk into a lamp post while we are looking at something distractive but on the other hand that would just be silly just like a thread pretty much made up of people bitching about a helmet and less about the quality of a video........

Join a gym or try harder!!!! ;-)

Gap sidehop gap gap gap sidehop gap gap sidehop gap gap gap, going by what some people have said above you can do more than just this, as much as you were going 'big', where is the originality? where is something a bit different you clearly can ride a bike but if you are going to continue the video do so by trying something more than 3 second clips of gap and sidehop repeated, sorry to rant a bit but the video could have been a hell of a lot better by making some better lines, something a bit more original, and I think enough has been said about the music ;-) I won't add anything else just that I agree that the music was truly cack but I think thats agreed among a majority ;-)

If i am off work I'll be up for it, havn't ridden with real people in years this would probably be good for me haha, some one keep me in the loop ) and I am now working in Cambridge so learning some spots for after work sessions would be good .....
-
My opinion for you regardinf riding them both, would be that if you are going to be riding 70% trials and 30% bmx mixed in defo go for the inspired set up, with the low fork you will be comprimising your balance point and ease of control of the bike by lowering the bb. On the other hand if you are going to be doing a majority bmx 70% and 30% trials then your bmx styled option would suit you as it will be flickier and a comfortable position on the bike for manuals etc...... just my thoughts really...

I can completely understand what everyone is saying on here, I long for the days when people used to go out and ride for fun, I hate to watch modern videos of kids going masive with no form of smile on there face. I moved with the times until about a year ago bike wise and managed to find an old leeson, and now a planet x zebdi and love it, I find it so much more fun and satisfying than all the modern stuff, its so disciplined now a days about everything. I would love to see some fun and spirit back in things not complete seriousness. I'm assuming some of you have seen it but I remeber a free vhs i got with mbuk years ago with ashton and hawyes out in france just messing around on some street having a real relaxed good time, my favourite thing to watch, well used to be, VHS don't last forever and nearly forgot, my first ride, orange planet x jackflash/ knifen forks, d521's, a filthy are guard azonic bars were a must. and then my second which I have regretted every day since i sold it about 9 years ago my pashley 26mhz with hope ti hubs, rs7's hmmmmmmmmm

Nice vid one point, why don"t you just ride in your boxer shorts rather than drilling your lever, you'd save more weight, or just not have breakfast when your going to go out riding for that extra gram!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I second this, I ha this urge about 6 months ago, I had a box go missing moving house and it had all my dvd's in lost all the old small production dvd's from trials of the last ten years would love to get hold of them again.....

I may be up for a ride in london that afternoon/ evening, I rode with you guys a while back, where are you meeting what time ish? Matt

I am pretty sure it was some one french or spanish like Rossi.
-
Go big stylish, haha , however I'd rather see a smooth stylish line pulled off with no rim smashing and no sketchiness any day to some one bull dozing through a line...
-
To be honest, why would you want too, on hs33 or discs, i have run it previously but one it freezes up in cold weather and if some one replies antifreeze think about it its corrosive not good on rubber, if you set up either a hs33 or a disc properly and take your time with decent pads their is no need for it, you only ever need change to really a grind in my experience if you ride in the wet or go a bit crazy on gaps and need to ensure it will lock every time.
