-
Cage fight, cage fight, cage fight........... only using hand bags
-
My apologies I didn't see it on tarty bikes it was crc. To the question Mark, would you advise replacing hose or would it be ok to just undo connectors re-use and get some fluid from you guys to bleed.
-
You should be revising get off the forum.......
-
Haha well, the kit on tartybikes is some crazy contraption looks like that connects to your tube to use air to bleed it? I am going to stick with a home made kit probably buy a new piece of hose and use original connectors.......
-
I would like to disconnect my hope hose run through steerer and reconnect however clearly the metal connectors will need to come off to get it through however as I have only ever experienced maggies, are the connectors re-usable with the hose or will i need a new hose or connectors or both, The hope bleed kit seems immensely expensive, has anyone bled these with the car/ motorbike method of topping up resevoir and pumping etc?

I'd love to see some one fall in there head..... probably more than watching a flair to be honest
-
I tried this with a derailleur and just kept skipping on smaller cog however a strong spring double wheel tensioner may work I may give this another go myself if the trialtech sport seemed to work.......

At the end of the day ot pi, hans rey werent young when they stopped competing really plus I think the competition side of it wears off and people tend to head into the enjoyment of riding trials rather than competing i.e. ashton etc.........

Spending A Week In Milton Keynes From 14Th-18Th May
Matt24. posted a topic in Member Organised Rides
As title suggests in Milton Keynes for a week on a course thinking of taking me bike if any one wants to hook up riding and show me around????? Matt 07595692672 -
Ah in that case yeah pop a small amount of antifreeze in as Mark says above it is non corrosive and will in effect lubricate in some way, when ever I have bled from oil to water I have always the first time kept bleeding till no oil left, it wouldnt cause an issue if small amounts are left.
-
I run an early maggie, I have run loads over the last ten years and always water bled. Never had an issue, never used antifreeze. I wouldn't bother this time of year. I do it for the brake feel rather than ease of bleeding, my tpa also works so not sure why it wouldn't on a modern maggie. Give it a go, whats the worst that could happen??????

I live in Hoddesdon always up for riding street, havn't rode Stevenage in years so would be up for heading your way. Or some spots I know in Hertford...... pm me if you want....
-
Surely this will not work, a) bearing in mind they mount higher then the arms would hit the bosses for u brake, you could combat this by chopping them off yes but then you also have to take into account these are designed to fit the tube thickness of a fork, no bmx rear triangle no matter how beefy will be thick enough to accommodate these.......
-
I think this is a great cause to support...... I will definatly attend.......

the mbuk trials board used to crack me up. Was such a small community of people posting but continually new content, and to be fair section7 was by far my favorite forum to use, had a great atmosphere. Aaaaaah the days when people came on the forum could freely express opinions and not have a barage of insults from other users and just been respected in what they said.............

Why is everyone on this forum so aggressive now a days. I was merely pointing out that rock n roll had nothing to do with bikes and the shop mentality? Just to clear something up again before people reply in the wrong context for what i was questioning, I am not saying the shop is bad, I am sure they do a good job and its great they are supporting riders I am all for that. I am not saying jesus these guys are thick like some one has labelled me? Thick for making a point no? Thick for being so narrow minded and pig headed you can not see some ones point of review regarding a name of something that appears to have no relevance, maybe? I am not mocking the music at all or your choice of music, read what I said. Your music choice was never what i said was wrong. The name rocknroll is unique? Strange? Pretty sure it is one of the most widely used phrases since about the 1940/50's. And as regard to the skateboard trick, it is well named rock n roll because of the motion of the trick and makes perfect sense. And again I am pretty sure actual rock n roll came along quite a while before, (Read above). Just to make an example, a man called Jimmy Levan a while back started his own company called metal bikes. Two reasons bikes are made of metal and due to his taste in music and who he hung around with. Low and behold the bike company had like minded people on his team and the bike company is just as much about the metal life style as it is about bikes, hence that makes sense. My point was it just seems that the shop took a phrase that is an in fashion thing with no relevance to what they were going to create and why it was that there shop had any connection to rock n roll. I was not bad mouthing, having a go or trying to offend anyone just making a in my eyes valid point as it just seemed like strange name for a bike shop with no connection it seems to rock n roll......
-
If you read my comment its not mocking the shop it self purely saying strange name for a bike shop that then creates a team that makes video's with urban music in it. You would have thought the ideal of calling a shop rock n roll bikes would have a rock n roll influenced team or something to clarify the name round it. Wasn't aiming to cause offense merely making a point...

I ran a moto digger on the rear years back and remeber it was alright, I don't think it will be much grippier than a holy roller. The real downside is pinch protection the dmr are pants for pinch flats so if you are going to do it invest in a dh tube aswell but if you go down that route might aswell go with an st high roller or betty.....
-
Granted aftermarket pads are better than blacks, however do not disregard the fact if you actually bother to really set up a magura properly with a good booster, spotlessly clean rim blacks will still work well with maintenance..... What do you think we did before all the aftermarket pads???????
-
Rock n roll bikes????????????????? What a ridiculous name for a bike shop and a team that has no relation to it at all..... granted the shop is called that however clearly a poor choice of name for the shop especially if you are going to sponsor riders who clearly aren't that sort. No offense. Just seems a bit odd to me. On the flip side some really good riding in there good job......
-
how ironic how the big man who helped steer everyone towards uber long seat free bikes all those years ago is going to influence a new generation to get back on the ones that steer back to that traditional look......... As always though an epic demonstration of trials, top notch........
-
Most bmx components are not made by the actual brand that market it and rarely have there brand stamped on it anywhere.... You probably have not been ripped off if the seller has good feedback and seems genuine, however unless you put those forks up against a real set you'll never know, your only other options is see what exact specs are on shadow conspiracy website, weight? Fork leg length? see if it matches.......
