Urban mammoth

ok so we have had a panasonic viera tv for a while now. it has built in freeview and it has been fine so far. but recently it has started loosing channels!! so i got to auto setup and it tries to find all the channels, but sometimes they come up and sometimes they dont!?? its mainly the bbc 1, 2, itv, channel 4!! they are so hit and miss. all the connections are fine. any ideas?

cheers boys im not exactly in the olympics, i just get all the top training facilities/coaches/regimes etc etc to give me the best chance and to fast track me because i have the "optimum body type and athletic potential" which has been proven to produce olympic athletes. so basically if i work like shit then i have an excellent chance.

hi everyone, you may have seen it's my 21st birthday today but on a different matter.......... at the start of this year I saw the BBC sporting giants campaign advertised on the news. This was a campaign for tall people (over 6"3') to be recognised for their raw sporting talents to be trained up to be olympic athletes in rowing, handball or volleyball for the London 2012 olympics. The applicants did not need any experience in any of the sports, just to have sporting potential. I went online and applied in march and in august I received a letter saying I was shortlisted to attend a screening trial at Gateshead International stadium for the sport of rowing. There were 2000 people nationwide attending the rowing trials at 5 locations (Nottingham, Manchester, Bath, Gateshead and Bisham Abbey) in September. It involved 3 hours of testing, including endurance, strength, posture, height, wingspan etc etc. and it was horrendously tough!! All these results were logged and analysed to see who had the best attributes and potential for progressing to the World Class start programme. This would involve being trained up to compete on a national and international stage with the long term aim of winning a medal in the 2012 Olympics. The 2000 was to be cut to 60 final athletes who would be asked to be part of the campaign. In october I received the news that I had been selected in the final 60 athletes, and my arm strength result was the best of all 2000 applicants!!! to say i was gobsmacked is an understatement!! anyways that was my little slice of good news cheers Dan

nah man, on the apple store website, you get a better discount if you are actually using the university internet (i.e at uni) as opposed to just typing in which uni you go to which you have to do if your just using your home internet. so maybe if you go into the store or ring up and physically prove you are at the uni, you get the bigger discount, as you would buying online from your uni internet??

haha ok, so now i want the ipod touch!! im thinking that im not gonna play games much anyway, its perfect for mac users, itunes and movies whilst having the added benefit of having safari and the possibilty (with jailbreak) for google maps and mail etc etc etc. plus its got plenty of storage for my musical/movie needs. AND it looks the dogs!! and has a touch screen!!! think i have made my decision what is the kind of education discount you can get off apple because i know it changes if you access the site from your university!? can get them for bout 230 from ebay. cheers dan

ok im actually being swayed towards the psp now. i just want to know how easy it is to use with a mac? can u sync with itunes?? cos if its gonna take ages to put music and stuff on then what is the point? ahh if i use ---> this <--- then i can sync my psp with itunes for music, movies, game saves and bookmarks?? also is this site genuine? so then i can get all the games and music i want? do the above require hacks that could potentially screw up your psp? im thinking i will need a couple of 8gb cards for this? Hi, It's my 21st birthday coming up and I'm already getting some more major presents which i will stay with the rest of my life. Was just wondering for a bit of gadgetry, the itouch or psp?? i already have a 30gig ipod, but itouch/iphone's look so awesome!!! can you go on the web with the itouch?? i really like the look of a psp as well, but i haven't ever payed on one. I travel quite a bit on trains so the games would be awesome. Do they integrate well with macs? i heard you can go online on these, but also heard it can be hard to put music and films on? plus they don't seem too have much storage? any news review or recommendations would be great!! ta Dan

ok, next question............ i have just got a gmail account and dont want to use my hotmail account anymore. i have set my gmail account up in mail, that is all fine. Have changed most of my details on ebay etc etc so they should start coming through my gmail. have set up msn to with my gmail account and imported my old contacts. but, how can i get my hotmail account emails to be forwarded or redirected to my gmail account?? thanks Dan

that is rather dissapointing. httpmail application doesn't work with leopard either!! anyone know any alternative solutions??????? cheers Dan

ok, just have a look at these crazy gap girls one from apple website another screenshot from google mine mine has no transparency!! why?? and also, in mail how do i get my hotmail to come in?? i had http mail account set up in mail in tiger but now its gone. hmmm
