  1. You can get a try all helmet from tarty bikes which are only £29. There is 2 to choose from and you can get them in white or black. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/search.php?category_id=89 Jamie
  2. I haven't really had any bad accidents riding Bike trials but on my motorbike I once broke my foot. On my bike I have only got a few small scars on my shins from hitting them with my pedals.
  3. I would just buy a second hand bike off here or ebay as you will be able to get a bike with higher spec for cheaper that way rather than spending alot of money buying brand new parts that aren't as good.
  4. I think technique is most important but once you have the technique perfect you need to be stronger to go higher.
  5. People always moan to me and my mates but I think it is best to just hear them out and not start argueing with them. If you argue with people you always end up worse than if you had just listened to them. Trials riders very rarely damage anything they ride on anyway so people really have nothing to moan about.
  6. Hi, I'm Jamie and i'm 15. I've been riding pedal trials for about 2 years now, i have just recently started to ride more regularly though because I used to only ride every couple of weeks. My bike is an onza t-pro with just about all the standard parts on. My other interests ar dirt jumping and Motorbike Trials. I have a specialized p2 for dirt jumping and my motorbike is a gas gas 125cc.
  7. You can use water or you can use oil also. To use oil you need to buy a Magura rim brake service kit bleed kit. You can buy them on tartybikes and they are £20. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=2074 The kit includes a 30ml syringe, 2x 25cm length of clear tube, 50ml Magura Royal Blood, 2.30m of standard black Magura hose, Mounting jaws for assembly of barbed fittings (no more faffing around with blocks of wood and damaging the hose!), 6 copper crush washers (to enhance sealing of all connectors), 6 olives, 3 barbed fittings for cross-over pipes (plus two for construction of the bleed kit), 1 shroud nut and 2 zip ties. You can use the Magura Royal Blood to bleed the brake but you can just use cooking oil or vegetable oil (that is what I use). To bleed the brake you need to fill the syringe with oil, undo the bolt just above you crossover on the left slave cylinder. Undo the bolt above your brake hose on the lever. Screw the syringe into the slave cylinder where you got the first bolt from and rump the oil through (you will need to catch the oil with something because it will come out of the hole where you took the bolt from in your lever). When you have pushed all the oil from the syringe through you can put the bolt back in the lever, remove the syringe frome the cylinder and put the bolt back in the cylinder. When you have finished all of that you are done. Also if you are very low on money and cannot buy the brake bleeding kit you can use water. To do that you will need to: Find a bucket (you can use your bath) Fill the bucket or the bath full of water. Take the brake off of your bike and put it in the bucket/bath. Undo both bleed bolts, the one on the lever and the one on the slave. (Underwater) The method is tricky at first, but once you have the rhythm, it will take a minute at maximum. Underwater: hold your finger over the hole on the slave cylinder (remember, when you have your finger on the hole, make sure it is tight and sealed against the hole, other wise it will take longer to bleed and may effect performance), press the lever all the way down, then hold your finger over the hole on the lever body, take your finger off the hole on the slave cylinder and release the lever fully, repeat until you no longer see any air coming out. Do up both of the bleed bolts. (Again, underwater) Take the brake out and it should be air free. Jamie
