Really really enjoyed it, didn't want to come home! The arm pump wasn't the problem, it was the pressure on your hands and wrist, I could barely hold the bars mid way down the runs. But in saying that, it probably didn't help at all that I hadn't been on a bike for 7 months due to two slipped discs...

So... A couple of mates and myself went to Morzine in the Alps a few weeks ago, we took a Go-Pro with us and filmed it. Heres a short video of our week in Morzine and Les Gets. To anyone who doesn't know about Morzine it is absolutely amazing, even for people who don't normally ride downhill, like me. It was something different to do, breaking the cycle of only riding trials and it got me more excited about riding trials when I got back. Its literally chair lifts up 500m slopes and bike back down in 4-5 minutes. Honestly mind blowing! Anyway, here it is. http://www.vimeo.com/25271131

Those frames look the business! They look fairly well built too!!

In my opinion, it would work a lot better if the Go-Pro was chest mounted because you would see more of what's actually going on. Plus your chest is more stationary. In saying that its good to do something different!

This may be an old thread, but its 3 years today since Beau passed away, I was reading through and its really touching how many people were positively affected by him. I thought I'd revive it for his friends, his family and all those who weren't lucky enough to meet him. If you have a good photo of him, feel free to attach. Here is my contribution.

I really enjoyed it. Brilliant weekend. We rode Lake Ogwen on the Thursday which made things even better, although by Friday afternoon I was screwed. Location was brilliant, bbq was epic and general chill out in the evening was great. The only criticism I have would have been abit more begginer stuff was needed, but considering the amount you guys managed to do, especially when on thursday morning at 11am when we got there, there was little or no beginer stuff. You did a pretty awesome job. If its on again I would definately be interested, even if it cost more. Top job. Wish there was another one this year.... hint hint... end of summer :]

I'm not getting into a whos the harshest competition Trial tech undrilled i cant comment on, never used or had experience with one. Trialtech sport imo isnt great and is essentially identical to Koxx. In terms of someone flat spotting a echo urban twice on the first day, a rim is only as stong as the build. I built mine myself and would consider myself better than average (i used to ride with beau and got alot of experience trueing and building wheels for him, as he went through at least one rim a week), so maybe the build wasnt very good? I also make an effort to ensure the spokes are tensioned equally after every few rides, or any big down gaps. Essentially an urban built badly, would be worse than a single walled rim made of cheese metal built well. Built properly in my personal opinion the urban is the strongest rim avaliable, and i know for a fact it will hold a dirty deep grind for ages.

Im with Adam on this one, Echo Urban. Ok it weighs as much as most peoples bikes, but its so strong and holds a grind so well. If anyone has ever seen me ride, they will understand why i love this rim so much. It just physically wont dent, buckle or do anything wrong. That is until i fell off and my bike fell 6 foot onto a post which hit the spokes of the rear wheel. Oh and its still going. :] I still cannot understand the trialtech hype. its a koxx rim, the same ones a few years ago everyone slated over and over, it flexes when you pedal, it just doesnt work. Cheese metal was the exact term.

Buxton is a brilliant ride. go there quite often, there is also some mint natural about 8 miles away if thats what your into. I live in Macclesfield just down the road from stockport, never rode there though, or manchester. I always wanted to ride manchester but could never decide if it would be good or id just be wandering around all day looking for spots. I would be well up for a buxton or manc ride. im sure liam would be up for coming too :]

Vertical dropouts are retro cool. Hope its like the current one though just better geo and lighter :]

Yeah I've rode Buxton before. Not bad. There's a place in the peak district just out of macc which is pretty good for natty. I'm getting my king fixed in the next week or two if u fancy a ride after then?
