The front's too low and I need a real seat so a trialtech/hope bar & stem and a small pivotal seat to be added whenever I get round to it...

i think the original beast of the east was an xc bike with a slightly higher b/b for east coast techy trails or somethin like that... cannondale could have really cashed in on a proper (small) ashton replica

I know all these people who don't own one are saying how this frame was shit but I really like the Freetrials....last time I rode a bike everyone had to have little xc frames cos there was nothing else, then last year I decided to give it another go and bought this. For someone who never went through the luxury of riding featherweight competition bikes with +30 bb heights it feels spot on for me....and I think apart from on comp bikes, we're due a return of the seat. (spec now totally changed from this pic)

I have one of these, what stem are you going to use and what seat is that?

I have a Czar Freetrials, just need a small seat and they're great. There's hardly any decent pics of them and no vids of any decent riding on them though

my cranks are 175 but its only a +10 bb so it looks like I might be better sticking with 18:16?.....I just find 15t hard to push for some stuff (must have puny legs)

...what are most people using? I like the lighter gearing but wonder if I should put the effort in and try to get used to 15t?

why don't you wait until the colour you like is available and get it shipped? as for the onza, unless you happen to know someone looking for a full bike I'd split it and sell up as much as you can before you go (obviously hold onto the bits you want to go on the inspired). ....forget studying measurements and angles, just go and ride!

I'm having a wheel built up by Merlin (last time I asked the queue at Tarty was too long a wait) and they recommend DT plain guage spokes for 'heavy use'.... Tartybikes on the other hand recommend double butted spokes (so the centres flex and don't send the stress to the ends).... ...so I looked and Merlin also have DT comp spokes, which are double butted and recommended for 'freeride' ...so what's best to use for strength (DT plain guage or DT double butted)? Help!

if you bought off someone on here and waited longer than they said, just ask why it's taking longer...if you still get nothing, then hassle them and then nothing again flag their name up...if still nothing after all that, go and beat their door down... as for t-uk, sorry to hear you spent money on there....we may be suprised and you could actually receive your order but Id be prepared to take legal/trading standards action to get your stuff/money back

the brake idea makes sense, anyone got them though? just wondered what they're like to ride with.... im right footed so it makes sense to have the disc on that side....wierd how no-one else has tried this?

it'll get into all the bearings and ruin it from the inside out... it all depends if you can be bothered stripping the bike if you don't make it

...anyone got this? like the fact it's steel, glossy and has a rh disc mount....(does this affect performance or just the same?)...anyone got it or thoughts on it? (don't see many on bike pics)
