Street on fixed/road bikes

I've stuck this in here as it's not trials... I know very little about bmx but I want a resonable one to have a go at something new and also for getting around town on. I want something that looks very subtle (battered looking even) so that it's unlinkely to attract attention when locked up, but it must be mechanically ok and cheap... Where am I best looking for one???...any ideas what I should be looking for and what I can expect for what sort of £££? Help appreciated

Over the years 26" trials bike designs have become better and better at hopping and increasingly worse at 'street'/ 'normal riding' (whatever you want to call it) so with limited options for streety, versatile 26" and the release of the danny video they've taken off.

Looking for some subtle mid skate shoes and thinking of getting some from the iD site so I can make some with non-clown colours. Are they good for riding in or are there better alternatives

Augmented reality glasses that tell you distances of gaps, height angle of surfaces. Their inbuilt Internet access will be streaming videos of riders on similar obstacles projected straight onto your retinas. Obviously.

What does it take to become an olympic sport though? How do you get it considered? We're all biased but I think it's a good spectator sport... I wonder what the arguments would be against it for inclusion? Maybe some people don't view 'jumping about on things' as an athletic competition....maybe it just gets lumped in with bmx and is seen as a juvenille thing.

I didn't explain very well... Manifesto as a riding style isn't shit - I mean it's shit as an idea for a competition theme as it's how I try to ride anyway and it means everyones aiming for something similar. For me, 'trials' riding looks stupid with loads of little hops on the spot, sidehops etc... Fine for competitions but I wouldn't want to be out riding on the street like that... A mate and I have been trying a style similar but taking it further, where there's no little hops on the spot and wherever possible you don't use pedal strokes. I stand by anything that encourages creative, smooth riding and moves away from stupid little hops, sidehops, tape measures, mods (sorry)...

this manifesto stuff is shit....needs to be something original and encourage different sorts of entries, not just everyone attempting the same style.

It'd be good to see a theme that encourages beginners equally as much...

I know it was sketch and it looked like he only landed that stuff by chance but the speed and scale on both those vids is immense...you'd either have to be very skilled and build up to that stuff or just be so dumb the danger doesn't even occur to you.

was really enjoying the sun and the music and whole atmosphere of that vid...then someone had to get the tape measure out.

A curb comp is very specific...the point of saying just 'low' is to go out and find something to be creative with...rails in skate parks, grass banks, ledges, road name signs, little wooden posts, low gaps etc etc. totally agree, I don't want to see a load of sidehops and tape measures on walls...the one take would be great - anything that inspires smoother flowing riding is good for me

I had a few comp ideas including these. Make of them what you will; 1. Momentum - The bike has to keep moving forwards (or backwards) for the whole film. That means not pausing before the next obstacle or hopping on the spot. 2. Creative Low - Low obstacles only, get creative on them. 3. Top 3 - Clips only riding your 3 favourite local spots.

is it a cover of the who song? Everyone has their own taste but I like something chilled on bike vids...metal or rap makes me switch off

1070/390/+10 I can't cope with all this modern tgs stuttery hoppy stuff so I'm enjoying getting used to this...could do with a higher gear and a non-suicide brake though.
