  1. Could give it to the banks, I hear they need all the cash they can get at the moment..
  2. Yea, I know that if I was a mod that there would be a certain number of mental "pre-warnings" that I'd give someone before actually giving them 20% warn. So although it would look like it was one thing they said that got them warned, it would actually just be the straw that broke the camels back.
  3. Can I have your autograph instead then?
  4. I had completely noticed that about you, seeing you viewing a topic that you would have replied to a while ago and then seeing no reply... Rich, is there a part of you that wishes you'd just written this then closed it? I can imagine all this shite replies aren't what you were aiming for.
  5. Read up on other peoples past experience with drilling and go right ahead and do it! It's easy as an easy thing, and is a nice way of shaving a bit of weight.
  6. Shit Creek, Hastings... Same thing!
  7. I see some warn coming your way... Clever to direct that _at_ a moderator... Although I completely see where you're coming from with the contesting decisions thing. Having been on the end of Rich's banhammer before though, I can see he's generally fair.
  8. I reckon that you should maybe look out for an "old school" set-up in the classifieds once you can buy and sell as a member. I'm pretty similar in what I look for, but then again I just kept my Echo ES4 instead of selling it and having to look for something similar when I came back!
  9. Got to agree with that... maybe persevere with your 22:18 set-up at the moment, you may well find you get used to it. If not, give 19 a go before 20 definitely.
  10. Top right of a topic, click options, then standard under display modes RSQ?
  11. Totally see where you're coming from - and obviously conscious that this shouldn't escalate especially in here - but take it a step further. I'll use Glen just because he's the obvious choice: Glens sitting therein the pub with his mates, having a bit of a giggle about getting someone pregnant with his fingers. Mr X overhears and can't help but say - lightheartedly of course - that he thinks Glen is clearly a bit of a n00b at the sex lark. In that situation, I reckon most would probably still laugh and it's still unlikely that it would escalate into a full blown row over something so silly. It certainly wouldn't end up with Mr X being barred from the pub.
  12. i got bored of scrolling round the coastline of the UK by the time I got to ilfracombe...
  13. Really? I absolutely didn't see that one coming. Can't decide whether I think it's a good or a bad thing, but kudos for making your point I definitely agree with getting things back to how they used to be - but back then there was a lot of banter too, it's just that people knew how to take it with a pinch of salt. So to be honest I would be "punishing" the other side of the problem - the people who just can't understand the difference between a personal dig and a bit of internet forum banter. I would say that 99.9% of the arguments on here start from this sort of situation where someone will give a tongue in cheek comment and it's blown completely out of proportion. And, as has already been mentioned, most of this banter would happen between mates in a pub too and it wouldn't get all out of hand with people being sent out of the pub for an hour while they learn to behave. People just need to learn not to take everything so seriously, especially in chit chat. I know that my way of doing it is 100x more difficult to enforce than the way that's been chosen, and I don't disagree. I just think it's a shame that it's had to get to a point where certain people need to be treated like the kids they're acting like.
  14. I see a plan forming, another year of age passes on the 10th November and I have that week off. Might take a trip down for the spaced out night. No worries with looking over 18, I'm gonna be an old b*****d! We'll see what happens between now and then, and I'll try and drag some people down.
  15. Finally got round to downloading this Mike, and I'm still impressed every time I get into the middle of one of your mixes. Loving the house, although I'd never say stop the techno as I love those mixes too. Good job, once again. I'm going to have to head to Hastings for one of your nights soon, it's just a bit of a trek. Maybe I should get a Pocket Rocket gig sorted down there and stay out on a technical science night!
  16. Clearly you're meant to be using something which is completely mac exclusive, to show how much you won't ever touch a PC... My work desktop, hardly exciting but a nice little setup to keep the titles of my web browsers hidden from prying eyes:
  17. isn't that the point of weekends? well, minus the DIY I guess.. EDIT: On topic, I'm definitely happy for the decrease, as it means I'm more likely to make it back from soton this weekend! empty tank plus £20 = hopefully far enough on 20 litres instead of 18... lol
  18. you can do better than that Joe....
  19. Nah, I tried riding a trials bike on the road in the dark and some cunty driver knocked me off from behind and drove off. I used my face as a brake - it was only fair being as my maggies had already bled.
  20. If you still need some for this, then these might help:
  21. me and the missus on my 21st almost a year ago...
  22. Yea, I can see why they'd do it obviously. And in that vain, maybe the people who are stupid enough to think "ooo, double base rate - must be safe" deserve to lose their cash. If I had a load of cash right now I'd be spreading it as thinly as possible between the sensible sounding banks.
