  1. Welcome to a new section of TF where you can post questions on how to use the forum, report technical issues with the forum, or add your suggestions on how we can improve Trials-Forum. We'll also be using this section to discuss any new ideas that we have before making any changes
  2. You could just spray some anti fungal mould spray on it. You can get it for the black bits around baths and windows, should do the trick in killing it for a while. Whats behind the wall? If it was dry when you moved in then I'd be a bit concerned, in that case a good place to start would be to check the drains outside near the wall. If it was damp when you moved in, then... don't worry about it, kill the mould and leave it be
  3. Or find a fund that looks like the sort of thing you'd like to invest in, and leave the picking and choosing of which companies to invest in to the experts! How would you be doing now if you didn't get out, JT?
  4. Well recovered..lol. Yeah, the seats are crap. I've been using my car as a mobile skip for the past year, seats are not looking good will have to get it valeted before i sell it, i've given up on trying to keep them clean for the time being.
  5. Oi, I've got a fabia but its vrs if that makes a difference. Used to have a leon fr, but was a bit too ambitious trying to drive it through a flood (in a rush to get to the airport) and wrote it off. Fabia VRS seemed like a good choice after that, same engine (and gearbox?) but far cheaper insurance. Bought it a couple of years ago and its still going with no big issues. As mentioned, build quality of the leon seems much better than a fabia, but thats reflected in the price. The levers and dials are all identical in both cars, but there are hints of cheapness in the VRS (it leaks, boot catch is dodgy). Overall, If I could choose between a fabia vrs and a standard leon, I'd go for the VRS.. Between a standard fabia and a standard leon: leon.
  6. that sounds a lot better than what the demo let on to... they should sort that out Just got supermeat boy, good game. Bloody frustrating some of those levels, got fairly far but had to turn it off 'cos the gf appeared and wanted to watch TV. So I've lost my progress now Downloading now, cheers
  7. Had a 360 for a couple of years now and only ever use it to watch films really, so thinking I should at least try and play some games on it. Does anyone know and decent games that are quick to get into and addictive? Ideally ones that are worth downloading as a trial. I'm downloading "Trials HD" now - this is the second trials related game I've seen in the most popular section already... weird! Edit: ok, finished downloading. held down A for the whole course and completed it, then it asked me to buy the full game.. doh.
  8. I do, currently have some money in WTI, SHG and OPHR. I use tdwaterhouse for trading. They're all much of a muchness so choose whichever one you feel like. This book is a great place to start. For checking shareprices I use shareprice.co.uk (and its got a decent app too). The best place to start right now would maybe be to go onto shareprice.co.uk, type in a share (try OPHR for a start) and start reading through the discussions for that share. Within the discussions you'll see people mentioning other shares that they're interested in - so go and search for them and see what they're about, repeat the process. You'll find out whats 'popular' at the moment and will probably learn a thing or two along the way. As for whether I've been very successful: no. Probably (hopefully, haven't checked for a while) breaking even over 2 years. The markets are really down at the moment with greece spain and italy, but if you can find 'the bottom' now (or soonish, or whenever the panic is over) would be an ideal time to invest. Let us know how you get on!
  9. I see where you're coming from, but you can still see the disputes at the top of the for sale section, you can always follow the forum too if you want to get instant notifications
  10. Its all above board so I suspect netflix pay the distributors.. in fact, some googling http://www.quora.com/How-much-does-Netflix-have-to-pay-in-royalties-for-instant-streaming-movies http://gigaom.com/video/did-netflix-pay-too-much-for-epix-content/
  11. feedback sorted http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/feedback/ yarhaar
  12. You lose That is exactly what they did to me a few years ago. If you don't cancel like 30 days in advance they pretty much gaurentee that you'll spend another month with them. This time I got £15 cashback with quidco and a one month free trial. As long as I remember to cancel it before the 30 day trial is up I should get my own back.
  13. One tbird per month.. not bad! Welcome Kyle & Adam
  14. Well spotted! I think I need to tone it down a bit, but that can wait for another day Also need to work out why the feedback section only displays one feedback item...
  15. Ha, maybe I'll give it a watch some time based on your recommendation. I have high expectations now
  16. I've had problems with cancelling love film in the past too, but that was doing the dvds by post thing. I think I'm stuck with lovefilm for a while now - my girlfriend is on episode 3 of lost season one - the first time she's ever seen it :/ Been reading up about getting US netflix in the UK, seems like theres loads more stuff on the US version that we don't get over here

    4G

Looks like vodaphone and o2 are joining up, with them sorting out 4G by 2015, seems like quite a way off http://www.mobilenewscwp.co.uk/2012/06/o2-and-vodafone-announce-network-sharing-plans/
  18. Anyone using either of these 2 services? I had Netflix for about 3 or 4 months, some fairly decent stuff on there, and there was always south park or the (american) office to fall back on if there was nothing else. For some reason, I switched to lovefilm (just to see what its like I guess), looking for the first time now it seems the selection is crap, mostly obsure films I've never heard of with poor ratings or shit like scary movie 2 - am I missing something? Are there any other decent streaming services that'll let me play films on my xbox easily? Don't mind paying as long as its not too much.
  19. I'm not fussed personally, as long as the money gets recycled back into the community somehow I'm happy to leave the decision with you I'll double check with Danny and get a PM to you soon. Its a tricky situation.. most people are affiliated in some way to someone. I'm sure you'll figure out a fair way!
  20. Great idea and good to see you dedicating your time to it, these things take a lot of effort to organise My main though is: who will be judging the videos? We're doing pretty well in PayPal terms at the moment, so we (Trials-Forum) would be happy to donate some vouchers or something as one of the prizes. I should probably check with Danny first, but I'm sure he'll be fine with it
  21. I'm not an expert myself as I haven't ridden for a loooooong time. But I know enough to know that you're getting a lot more for your money there. Magura's over cheap V's will make a big difference straight away. The one thing the guy mentioned was it didn't have a disc mount on the frame - something to be aware of. Another advantage for going for something like that is when you come to resell you might get £350 or something for it, maybe the same price you paid if you're lucky. If you go for a new onza then you'll probably struggle to make half your money back if you come to sell it. That said, there might well be 'problems' with second hand bikes which they've failed to mention, so you have to trust the seller, and if you don't then you might be better off going for a new bike. That didn't help, did it?
  22. In my expert 'used to be a gardener' having built a few decks opinion, i'd say just paint over it and be done with it. Nitromors will cost as much as the paint, take more than twice as long to do and if you just end up painting it anyway it won't make much difference.
  23. Haha, everyone goes through that I think. Sure you could find some people to ride with in Cambridge to ride with and get you progressing. It'll be worth the effort when you're pulling sweet manuals on your DH bike
  24. hey, welcome. http://www.trashzen.com is a good place to start, loads of tutorials on there What trials bike did you pick up?
