  1. isitafox has kindly agreed to join the mod team and help keep this place tip top. Congratulations and welcome to the team
  2. I should be getting a sample through any time now, just going to double check them, then I'll put an order in based on the poll results I'll try and make sure everyone gets the colours they're after, but there might be a limit of 2 of each type or something - depends how many we get and how many people want them (around 50 or so based on the poll results) Once I get the sample I'll post some pics up here. Appreciate you guys being happy to donate a quid or 2! (but for those not wanting to donate, that's totally cool too, just riding around with the stickers on your bike works for us )
  3. Well, this seems to have failed miserably
  4. Chat to cai - I think that's his username on here anyway, he's from Tenby and might be able to show you around.
  5. yeah, they're a pain - thanks for the reports! Your post has prompted me to install a 'stop forum spam' thing which should catch lots of them as they try to register, I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days
  6. As far as I know (although it was a while ago), I think the free tartybikes ones are printed onto transparent vinyl. But you can buy cut vinyl ones from them now which will be better quality. The ones were getting will be cut vinyl, like this (but way, way smaller )
  7. Ha, seems to be lots of people wanting car ones! What size is about right for a car?
  8. They'll be the same as the logo, apart from the .co.uk is white text within a blue box - the dots were so small that they'd have a problem sticking. Also getting some done that just say "trials-forum.co.uk" in the same font, as the logo is a bit of a crap shape to be sticking on anywhere apart from a downtube, or wrapping around a seat tube. Haven't thought about getting bigger ones done, but if there's demand I'll look into getting a few bigger ones made for cars and whatnot
  9. We're pretty close to getting stickers sorted now (thanks for your patience Jonny!). Just trying to gauge interest on which colours people would be wanting (I'll be sending them out for free to whoever wants them once they're printed), if you could vote then that'd be ace
  10. I upgraded my laptop ram from 1gb to 2gb recently Its flying along now!
  11. ^ this, please stay on topic. If you're not going to comment on the video please don't comment at all. If you want to make a 'why didn't you talk to me at radfest' or 'should you wear a helmet' style topic then go for it, just not in here please!
  12. as far as my googling tells me, you could: increase the DPI (would apply to both monitors) Increase the font size (this is a windows 7 option in the display settings, again would apply to both monitors) decrease the resolution on your TV (everything would appear bigger, but if you decrease it too much and you're watching HD videos, then you will lose some of that HDness)
  13. Try http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/zbar/ - that gives you some wallpaper options. Its the best free program I could find that stretches your task bar across both monitors, and it also has some dual monitor wallpaper settings too. Not sure about getting the text/buttons etc bigger on your TV, except for lowering the resolution.
  14. yep, which is why some people say "it will cost £50 if paid via paypal gift". If things go wrong though, paypal wont help you out - you did send it to a friend or relative after all
  15. Ha, yep. I know I know the last upgrade was pretty much forced due to the software being insecure. We've always had reasons, but it seems that if someone is only coming back every so often, then an upgrade will be the final nail for them - they won't bother returning. People really hate change and the numbers prove it. That said, we're seeing a bit of an increase at the moment which is refreshing after a gradual decline over the past few years, and Ive promised myself 'no more major change for a good while'. Well spotted, they are now. That was changed a few months back but I didn't tell anyone
  16. Thanks for all the thanks! Should also point out that to anyone who might not know that its a joint effort with Danny and all the mods over the years
  17. Ha, ok, deal. Stickers are actually happening! Had to make a few revisions to the logo to make them work but they're most certainly in progress
  18. finally figured out why my computer is crap: 890mb-ish ram :/

  19. We do, well.. the forum does. We certaintly get way fewer posts per day than we used to a few years ago. In general however, the number of posts/visits quite closely follows this: http://www.google.com/trends/?q=bike+trials. On top of that, generally, forum upgrades = less posts. Any change = less posts. Summer = less posts (although this summer traffic is increasing, maybe because the weather is still crap). you! my gf said I should give the winner "a shit prize like a yorkie" (little does she know that a mars bar is the staple tf prize)
  20. If you have a natwest account and pay for 'advantage gold' (think its £12 a month) you get some handy stuff, namely: breakdown cover (not sure to what extent) mobile phone insurance travel insurance normally i wouldn't go for such a thing but it got me £999 off my mortgate too. edit: beaten to it
  21. We're about to hit an official post count of 2 million, which is pretty incredible. Who'll get the 2 millionth post? 29 on from this one.. which will be post ID2423915 Now is a good opportunity for me to say thanks to you all for getting us here and keeping the community going
  22. Doh, thats sounds a lot easier than what I ended up doing Did one layer with white text and did effect > path > offset path. Put in the number of px stroke I wanted. That gives you white text with a white stroke - so it looks like one big blob of white. Then I added another layer on top of that with the same text, this time in the correct colour. There's loads to learn in this program, used it about 5 years ago but I've forgotten everything
