Seems rediculous that they told you to cut your hair. I dont see how long hair should effect your work or anything.. about the tunnels, I dunno.. theyre your ears at the end of the day and again its not like it effects your work. Then again schools dont generally seem to like jewellery which is fair enough.. but just cos long hair isn't in fashion at the moment (well.. is it?!) doesnt give teachers the right to make you cut it. Rewind (wicky wicky) to the 90's when long hair was a bit more fashionable and I doubt they'd tell you to cut it, fewls. "Your hair must conform to todays fashion" :D

I dont think anyone actually looks at that.. (apart from you :P) Anyway, we'll carry on validating members as per usual. Topic like this one in future will be from the outset.

Seems everyone is a little unclear about some new rules which have recently come into play in New Members Chat (all pre members were emailed), so to clear things up.. For Sale/Wanted topics are not allowed in new members chat. If you want to post For Sale/Wanted topics, read the announcement on how to get yourselves validated and you can post it in the correct place. This also applies to full members, as it makes finding people to validate that little bit harder (plus if there are no for sale topics in here, New Members will be forced to read the members forums anyway).

http://www.csszengarden.com - You are given default, normal HTML to work around, and people submit their stylesheets to lay it out differently - quite amazing whats possible. The best site ive come across to show whats possible with CSS's..

Therefore if you take up smoking one day, and smoke 20 fags through the day, you are 3656158440062976 times more likely to get cancer than you were that morning... did you get that statistic from the Daily Mail? Anyway, the day the government take cigarettes of the shelves is the day they should stop paying for the harm that they do (well, maybe once the generation of smokers who were around before the ban have all died). But that aint gonna happen cos they make more money off tobacco than they do from treating the effects of smoking. It would be a pretty messed up country if the government knowingly taxed the public for something that they know will harm them, and not pay for the effects. Bring on a public ban though :P

Sorry, no for sale topics in NMC. This includes cross posting from the members area.. -
Just get down B&Q, argos (just had a look, £15 is the cheapest, or a variable speed one with extra stuff for £25), woolies, car shops, market stalls, theyre all over the place  EDIT: or if you have a decent drill (like an old style plug into mains one, or a decent battery one) you can get angle grinding attachments methinks, might be worth looking into.

Yes indeed Adam. Mods, if you want to validate a member, just go into their profile and click 'validate'. Its pretty straight forward from then on :) This is now available on all skins (Y)
-
Its actually a modified 'quick ban' hack. I started writing my own module and when I was looking for some 'inspiration' I came across it and realised with a little bit of hacking it could do exactly what I wanted in alot less time. All it does is check your a mod/admin, check the person your trying to validate is a premember, then set their group to the members group in the DB - pretty simple :P
-
This is already in the works, as of about 4 days ago. Moderators soon (well, already do, as soon as the skin is released) have the ability to validate members from their profile. Theres a 'validate this member' link which only mods/admins can see which should speed up the process no end (as at the moment I have to go into admin CP, login, find member, change member group and repeat... now its just 1 click, and 1 to confirm). I'll speak to Danny about when this skin is due to be 'released' :(
