Havent really looked into it much, but http://www.savefile.com looks good, just downloaded some mp3s off there at 250kbps. 60mb upload limit, no sign up, inactive files deleted after 30 days.

Meh, its quite fun watching this place go downhill and another thing to add to the list of reasons why I shouldnt be arsed with it. Still ok for the odd laugh.. anyway, time for the pub :P

Doing it that way would require having the host computer turned on (the one with the modem plugged into it) for the other computer to use the internet. If you do it that way, a search on google for 'windows internet connection sharing' should help. In my experience its all a bit dodgy though and not the easiest to set up. If the modem you have has an ethernet\network cable port on it already (as well as usb) then get one of these, plus a couple of ethernet cables (patch\straight) and a couple of network cards (bout a fiver each). All available on ebuyer.com..

Last year they were selling weekend tickets on the door for face value. If that fails, theres usually loads of touts sitting around the entrance who will have tickets, but check the door first. (There were wardens with loudspeaks telling everyone not to buy tickets off touts, as there will still some left on the door..) If your feeling risky, try ebay literally a couple of days before the festival starts, and either arrange to pick up the tickets from somewhere, or get them sent special delivery. My mate managed to get one for £115 (less than face value) off ebay at the last minute last year, but it was sketchy as it got delivered the morning of the festival.. (by which time he'd already left and his girlfriend had to pick it up from the post office - not something id like to do:S) Anyways, ill be going, should be fun. Glastonbury first though, woop woop!

By the sounds of it Si got through to the French guys who could hardly speak french and probably dont see trials-shack (a UK thing) as being that important. Would you pay £60 a month for some random file sharing server in France to let french people download videos? :shifty: It may seem like not much money for a company, but its still £60 which they don't NEED to spend.. Maybe contacting Fred directly would be a better idea. Also picking up the phone is a better idea, but to be honest I wouldnt really have had the guts to do that a couple of years ago. If your still stuck in a few days Si, chat to me on MSN and ill have a look at the TF accounts and see if we can sort anything out? :shifty:

Sounds like everyone here had some cool work experience placements.. On the other hand, I worked for a 'landscape gardener' which involved moving patio slabs mainly. The most interesting thing that happened was a swarm of bee's flying over a garden we were working in :). Twas pretty nice being outside in the sun and stuff though, and not really that hard work. Then I 'worked' for a web design company (two brothers), who were shit, made crap websites and charged 700 odd quid for them. Turned out they were wiccans (witches) and one of them was gay. Sound guys though... if a little wierd. Basically spent the week teaching them web design and watching sky on their 44" projection telly :P

And if your not, make sure the link (or any for that matter) you connected the chain together with isnt stiff.. that might be causing it (Y)

Works fine for me (also on 2mb) Maybe try running adaware and spybot.. could be some pesky program in the background using up your bandwidth :P

If you hold down shift and right click the icon, then go to 'open program with' (find notepad) it should open up fine in there, it'll just be a little unreadable..
