  1. Um I dont think so. Not in winter, but im not 100% sure. The teeth are really, really worn... so the chain catches and on every revolution the chain 'balances' on top of the teeth, before dropping back into place.. My old chainring is 4 bolt so cant use that. Yeah sorry didnt come out, I got up at 2 and spent most of the day fixing my bike, and its still broke Wasnt feeling too good either after last night so dont think i'll be drinking much tomorrow.. Apart from loose cranks and a fudged chain ring, im all set
  2. Please repost in Rides/Locations, and make sure you use a descriptive topic title.
  3. Managed to sort the bottom bracket in the end..... after much bodging (involved breaking the bottom bracket tool slightly..) Infact I think its the best bodge ive ever done. But yeah, my new bottom bracket has got bolts which require a socket set to do up, so im off to summit cycles tomorrow for some allen key ones, and a new 20t chainring as the one which came with the cranks is utterly f*cked

    Universitys

Not sure about engineering, but I lived in cardiff for a year last year, in a student house.
  5. Ok having a slight nightmare trying to get my old bottom bracket out. In other words, I cant get it out... BUT.. if I can source a big enough spanner tomorrow i'll be out tomorrow sometime, if not i'll def have it sorted by sun
  6. Cheers. Didnt work though, given up for the night
  7. Ello, I'm trying to get my bottom bracket out using minimal tools (read: a screwdriver, a BB tool and a crank arm for a hammer, NO spanner ) Anyway, its not making my job easy 'specially because I cant remember which way the threads go. So, looking down on the bottom bracket (drive side) (my bike it lying on its side on the floor), which way do I need to unscrew it? clockwise or anti clockwise?
  8. hulltrialser- can you please use more descriptive topic titles in future - its pretty annoying having to read a thread to find out what its about when otherwise you wouldnt bother. "Whats the Echo Team Font?" would have been better!
  9. Yep, exactly keep going past spar for about 100 metres and you get to the sea. Haha nah just making up for lost time over exams
  10. [attachmentid=2659] Its roughly there... you need to come out of the station, cross the road and keep on going roughly in the same direction and you will get to the sea, its about 3 mins ride max. I'll prob come out on friday yeah, im also out tomorrow night so will be hungover again... so wont be alive until about 2pm im reckoning, but ill be out after that - ill send you a text to find out where your at.
  11. Harbours pretty easy to find really. Get to the sea front, look at the sea and ride to your left until you get there (edit: ok that doesnt mean ride in circles, cos you'll never get there then.. but you get the idea) Infact ive even drawn a handy map for anyone whos unsure - [attachmentid=2658] I've got a heavy night lined up saturday (school disco woop woop) so no doubt i'll be hungover and late. Ill give one of you a text to find out where you all are. Hope CRC deliver my bottom bracket and inner tube by then.
  12. Give us more info. Using a previous example, its like saying 'my cars broke, how do I fix it?'. Are you using broadband/dial up? Modem/through a router? Firefox/Internet explorer? When did it stop working? Did it ever work?

Nice video joe, you know what I think of it from msn If anyone wants to test the upload thing (its online, java applet thing hosted on TF - no FTP stuff to worry about - 100mb limit) PM me and i'll upgrade your account. For the time being though can only people who are actually ready to upload videos ask for access as I need to test it a bit more before releasing it to the masses

  18. And if your not sure how to uninstall freeserve... In internet explorer go to tools > internet options. Click the connections tab, and remove all the installed diallers. That should fix it..
  19. thats not helping you get validated either..
  20. When you format it wipes everything from your computer, drivers and all. If you have the disks which came with the computer, the drivers will be on them. You've probably got a 'restore' disk, in which case put it in the cd drive, press restart and follow the steps - very simple should take 1 or 2 hours.
  21. Take old hard drive out Put new one in and install windows onto it plug in old hard drive again right click my computer and go to manage go to disk management and add the old hard drive... copy files over, apologies if you've already got that far
